I wanna film of Croft. I want to see her fight battles, not some GUY. It's great for Lara to have a boyfriend/ fellow raider upto some extent (like Alex) but we don't want him clogging up the movie!!! Watta u guyz think?

Aren't Bryce and Hillary meant to be Lara's sidekicks? I think Terry is meant to be a love interest, not a "sidekick".

have you seen the official poster? it's been out for awhile! don't worry only Angelina's on it http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/cutie.gif and if my predictions are correct, i believe that paramount wudnt be dumb enuff to have terry as a sidekick...i'm sure (or i'm hoping) that most of the cooler scenes will have just lara!! :D

We cant just have Lara by herself, the whole point of making a movie is create characters and a story that will appeal to everyone, if you just want Lara then just watch game play footage on a giant screen.

Of course Lara will have battles, we havent even seen the movie yet and already your complaining about battle scenes?.....anyway, Lara always goes up against a main baddie in the games, this isnt anything new in the movie.

Interesting. If you think about most/all action adventure films you will find there is almost always a love interest/partner in crime. All three Indiana Jones films, All James Bond films...etc.

I think the distinction is do the people who are along for the ride serve to shed light on the character of your hero? Do you see another side of your hero thanks to whoever happens to be in this film? I think in good films you will find they do. Afterall, often these 2nd characters have knoweldge/insight into our heroes in a way we don't... yet at least. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

I thought AJ's British English was excellent. Her English is very similar to the lady who plays "M" in the Bond movies.

Once I was able to view the trailer with sound, I had absolutely no trouble understanding AJ as Lara. In fact, one of the thoughts that entered my mind during the viewing was that her Queen's English seemed to have improved from TR1.

And in my opinion, the idea of Terry Sheridan in the movie in no way threatens Lara's preeminence as the central, undisputed character of Tomb Raider. Sheridan only adds another layer to Lara's character, since the two seemingly had some sort of a connection in the past that will be revealed in the movie.

Surely we can't discount the notion that a woman of Lara's beauty, talent, wealth, etc., would certainly have had a plethora of men with whom she had been involved in one way or another. Even if she wasn't interested, men would be chasing after her in droves.

Also, in the comics, Lara has interacted with men in much the same way. I just don't see how it detracts.

Which country are you from? I find that quite irrelevent to the fact that I don't understand her accent... I take it you speak like the queen? :D
