Glidos Logo

Whenever I play TR1 with Glidos, a rotating logo appears on my screen, obscuring the view. Is this a glitch or have they done it as some sort of sick joke?

Yep, it's a sick joke. Glidos works fantastic, but they don't tell you that you must purchase the program to play without the logo. :mad: It's annoying, but you get used to it. You have to buy glidos to get rid of it though. I'm not sure how much it cost. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif

The cost is $10 or about £6.00 aprox, it's well worth the money :D
I have been playing TR with Glidos on Win Xp and its wonderfull ;)

It takes just a few mins to install the key code and your away playing TR and UB minus the logo :D

I deeply agree in anything what Jules said - especially in GliDOS worth that 10$ and You wont' regret it! It's also a good news that Paul accepts other solutions apart from PayPal too, because PayPal doesn't work from where I live, whilst perhaps many people in Hungary want to play TR with GliDOS and without its logo... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

It's not a sick joke, it's called 'try before pay'. Paul Gardiner's website (http://www.glidos.net/) is very clear about the shareware status of Glidos. You would have known that if you had read the whole installation instructions.

Buy Glidos to get rid of the spinning logo

You shouldn't run into any problems with Glidos when playing the first two levels of Tombraider, but as you start the third an annoying, spinning logo will appear. If you are unlucky enough to have a very early verson of Tomb Raider then you may find the the logo appears even in the first levels. In any case, the hope is that you like Glidos enough that you would like to contribute $10 to its further development, and that the spinning logo is sufficiently annoying to make you get around to doing so. Hope it clarifies any misunderstanding. Paul is certainly not a joker when it comes to business matters.

i just finished playing the entire game with that annoying glidos logo. i was going to buy it but that wonderful music that the pc lacked from before ended at level 6 or so and after that just the same game. so when and only when all the music is completed i will then shell out the 10 bucks. great job on the graphics that was the one of the reasons for replaying it after all those years. and also i kept on having a small bug in which i could not advance to next level unless i hit enter as soon as the stat screen appeared. or i reloaded the game or new save reload.
