View Full Version : A Competition idea.
How about a comic strip competition?
I have noticed we have some very funny lara cartoonists here, but i have never seen a competition for any. just a little idea.
That would be a very interesting idea :)!
Idea is good imo, but we have to see how many would like to take a participation in that. (at least 5 or more participants would be recommended I think)
Also some standart rules could be used like MAX comic size > 760x1024 or something like that. :)

Why don't you post your comics here Lenochka? Not for any competition, just for people to read :)
Hahaha, this is so weird
While at school today i had this idea of doing a small 5 page comic of Lara using various pictures and drawings to create a short story.
If there was a competition it would have to last like 2 weeks minimum, making a comic definintly takes some time.

Sounds like a good idea to me too! Could be fun. I may make something for it. :wve:
Anyone has some specific ideas of comic sizes? (one/two page/s-A5 perhaps?) I presume most of as (like me XD) would be enough lazy to not to make comic of 10 pages :D

I'd imagine any size that was suitable would be a fine rule. Some comics are long and thin (think Dilbert or Garfield) and others are A5-style (think CTRL+ALT+DEL or Applegeeks)

Lol i get u, making a simple cover page alone took forever!
But i do plan to make about 10 pages, well i have a small story with a nice twist that could easily fill up 10 pages, the question is will i have the patience lol.
Well what i meant was just a small "comic strip" type thing with only a couple pages, but if others are prepared to do long ones thats up to them.
What about, two weeks for making/posting and one week for voting?
Any other ideas? Needs? Comments? ^^
Needs?
You sure you want to provide for that one...?:D

yeah, that would make sense, unless it went two weeks and we only had two entries or something like that. What about two weeks voting? because i'm sure some people only come here about once a week at the most, if they were to miss the voting after seeing the entries...
Also, if it's going to be a contest, can you sticky this thread? or maybe do a new one, as this will get kind of long.

A new one will be made as usually.
AND yesh, two weeks for voting sounds ok. As for making/posting we can always add few more days if really needed I think. :wve:
That sounds reasonable. A flexible deadline is certainly a good idea.

When does it start? I already have my entry, complete :D
Also, the way it is now I have 7 600*400 images. Can I post it that way, or does it have to be resized and put into one image only?

Not sure, maybe today after 17:00 [by forum/uk time] (or faster if any other mod will set it up) :)

Umm... there is a limit of pics in one post I think. Maybe posting it as in one pic would be better, I think ^^
Can I enter the competition? ^_^:D

Of course ^^ ...everyone can! (but at first I have to set it up)
