I think I will use this method too next time - I had a hard time choosing.

But anyway, reasons I voted for my choices were.....

Apofiss – 3 A fun picture to look at. Love Lara’s expression, and also the black and white effect. A great job of working with game footage, and I love the game cover pic.

Ampersand – 2 You’re turning me into a fan of line drawings. Excellent proportions, and a great pose. I’d like to make a line drawing that good.

Errevet – 1 Love the composition. I like the colored one better, but they both are great.


My thoughts on the other pics and why I didn't vote for them.....

MonaSax – My favorite idea of the bunch. I don’t think it was your best work (Lara’s torso looks stretched, but Seth’s doesn’t), but it was still quite good. I didn’t vote for you simply because I voted for your work on the Christmas event, and figured I didn’t want one person dominating my favorites. Of course, you were already getting plenty of votes anyway (you are a good artist), so being a practical guy I figured I would use my votes for someone else.

Winston the Butler – Man you are a good artist! You should spend less time polishing the silverware and more time painting pictures for Lara’s house. I’m not a fan of pictures on notebook paper, but great work anyway. Hope to see more from you soon.

Softigen – A good idea. The body is a bit more cartoony than I like (not my style), but I especially love the background. Since I hate drawing backgrounds, I was quite impressed with yours. I also think the coloring of Lara (especially the hair) with the black background worked well.

Spitfire – Everything I’ve seen from you is good, and this is no exception. It didn’t have a “Tomb Raider” feel for me, so I decided not to give it a vote.

Pythontrainer – The pencil style reminds me of Mona’s work without a background. Excellent job. I really don’t have a reason for not voting for you, except that I only had three votes.

Superstar – The quality of Apersand’s drawing, and colored too. Looking at this and the other pictures you’ve posted here is making me a bigger fan of the anime style (actually anime isn’t bad, but when I read a comic book of it the pictures get monotonous after a while – maybe I haven’t found the right ones to look at). With the color and style this was one of my favorites, but it didn’t make me think of Tomb Raider at all, so I didn’t vote for it.
