View Full Version : Triggering Lara's Animations?
Is it possible to make Lara play a certain animation, using means other than switch or puzzle triggers? I would like to trigger an animation using a heavy trigger underneath a flyby camera - can this even be done? If it can't, is there any way I can achieve a similar result?

I think I can compromise by adding several seconds of 'filler' to Lara's animation 11, but I'm not sure...I'll see how it goes... :)

It is not possible, not as far as I know anyway, to trigger one of Lara's animations using a heavytrigger.
The only way to trigger an animation is to enter the negative number of that animation into the OCB of a puzzle-hole. ;)
Example:
I made a custom animation of Lara inserting a disk into a computer and typing some things on the keyboard. This is animation number 444. So I entered -444 in the OCB of the computer puzzle hole to trigger this animation.
Another method I've been using is create a copy of the room the real Lara is in and place an animated Lara (in, for example, animating1 slot) in it. Place the camera sequence in there as well and you can have an 'inlevel cutscene' with an animating Lara. Things that should also happen in the real room can be triggered using heavytriggers underneath the camera's. :D
