Made this yesterday for an artgroup I'm in. Nothing to do with Tomb Raider, just a bit of design. The person is me btw.

I have my own interpretation of what I see, but what does it mean to you Geck?

That's very, very cool. Impressive both graphically and concept wise.

The white threads on me represent decay, stress, breaking down under pressure. The black threads winding out are my spirit, trying to reach out beyond my limits and grow. I'm stuck here in this life in a fragile body, but my mind wants to reach out for experience and knowledge.

How did you interpret it? :wve:

That's pretty heady stuff there Geck. I got the conflict between the threads, but my attention wasn't so much drawn to the main character as to the encompassing shadow that seems to tower over her. The “Matrix” style curtain I perceived as some kind of protective column that acted as a divide and that she used to support her body – as if recharging. Her pose is almost leaning toward it. She’s also looking down, which suggests a kinda submissive neglect of any real claim over changing her situation, which is then immediately contradicted by the positioning of her hands, almost as if they defy that which she can’t control.

It's a nice piece of work. I like it.

Thanks people, glad you liked it. :)

Lonely Istari: why not try doing stuff at home instead of waiting for your course to cover it? If nothing else, it'll give you another hobby. :D

Scary. There must be a lot more subliminal stuff in my work than I think there is, because all of that sounds accurate. If you're interested, the "Matrix" column was originally a single tyretrack, symbolic of roads, journeying, escapism; but I changed it because it looked damned ugly. There's still a bit of the tyretrack element left in the pillar.

Amazing work, but it impressed me a lot ( which I think it's the point of an art work, lol),once imagining having things growing on my body it's nightmarish.

For me,it looks like the birth/burst of something that will feed itself from the body,so,no,I cannot say I enjoyed it,though I very much apreciate as an artistic work,Geck :)!

And,dear Blackgrey,you say that because...

I think perhaps you should comment Gecks's art, that's the point of this thread.
