After quickly finishing AOD(on pc) off http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/silent.gif , had the urge to want to play my PS versions of TR1 - 4. Bought second hand PS2,....the graphics look ****.

What's the best way to fully enjoy the TR1-4 games again ?

Buy them for PC and play with a high resolution {And in TR1's case, Glidos}, or illegally download a PS emulator.

Or just play them on the PS2..Graphics arn't everything No, but the graphics were real bad, then found out how to change the PS driver setting to Fast Disc Speed & Texture Mapping to Smooth which has made a big difference. Want to make the most out of playing them the second time round. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/jumper.gif

Thanks 3 Links, how does one obtain the emulator, purely for scientific research purposes of course? http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/whistle.gif

You can find emulators on the net on many websites, just search for one. Then once you have one, pop a PS CD into your disc drive and run it through the emulator.

I prefer PC. Simply because the graphcis look better, and the keyboard feels right with the controls. I could never get the hang of the control pads on the consol.

SOMA , I no doubt agree with you that the graphics is better, but I have started on PS2 and the music on the PS version sure adds to the atmosphere.

I now have an emulatr & need to DL some other item to get it working  Also I'm a bit reluctant to play around with the PC's video and sound settings in the case I bugger every thing up entirely. Any simple suggestions?

Another question.... if the PS CD is played through the PC, will it play the original music which is apparently only on the PS CD?

Probably.

You will need to find the plugins though, but they are free also. You'll also need a copy of the PSX bios which is unfortunately not legal to own unless you already have a real PSX, which I do. It plays TR1 PSX on my PC perfectly and with in glorious sound too. All of the original music plays quite happily through the emulator.
