Hi every body,need help with installe..

Hi..my friends.. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif .I got TOMB RIDER .EIDOS.Sold out.
I read all items in Forum concerning instalation...but nothing help me in my case.I downloaded
Tr1 advinst 556kb and xp_tomb 337 kb. But when insert TR CD and try to Install Game it did not go. What to cheak and what not in Advinst or xp_tomb ???
How to make my game run?
What to do,i really cant get it at all...
I have Window XP Proff. Any help?

Meanwhile, I could tell you a few things (that is, what I did to install TR1 with the Advanced Installer).

You must have the Installer and VDMSound for a start. Install VDMSound first. Then put the TR1 CD in the drive, but when the autorun screen pops up, select Exit, so that you leave the program. Leave the CD in the drive though.

Then install the Advanced Installer. In the first screen that appears, the program will ask you whether you use Glidos or not. So select the respective option (if you use Glidos, select yes, if not, select No).

In the next window, the Installer will ask you if you want it to configure your sound card or not. Select Yes and from the two options under this, select the first one. Click Next. In the next screen, click Next again. If you don't have the TR1 CD in your CD drive, you will be prompted to put it in. Then the Installer will install the game by itself.

In the final screen, you can check any of the options you want (depending on whether you have Glidos or not) and then click Finish.

This is it. I didn't use Glidos, although it is recommended for better performance. I did use VDMSound, and had sounds in TR1 for the first time! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

Hi,Nicky,thanks for yr usuall nice help.... you know,i use tr1setup,PC ask me to put Game in CD-RW Drive(E) its actually my DVD room. AND SO I DID. I have olso RW 48-24-48 (D). Wat next? Shall i put Game in RW 48-24-48 (D) to play ?
But when i sturt autorun,i press Install Game,than just it comes BLACK banner and says :
DOS/4GW Protected mode Run
Copyright <c> Rational System,inc.1990-1994
And all screen become black.Its endlessly,so i need to close Groups.
Guys...this is very difficult for me to figure out !!
What can i do ????????????

ps..I copy yr reply ,now i will download sound and see..

But ...after i play Caves,Game show me that i playd 23min and so on and freesed,so i could not came out of it ,just by pressind Ctrl+Alt+Del

Does it freeze every time? I think the same happens to me sometimes. Try loading a previous save, to see if it happens again.

Olso i dont have a sound at all.Why then i download it?

I knnow its a big problem-sound,but may be there is any way to do it?

As for the sound, try this: as soon as you put the CD in the drive and the autorun starts, press Exit. That is, don't start the game from the CD. BUT while the CD is still in the drive, go to the game's folder in your hard drive (by default it's C:\TOMBRAID). Right click on the game .exe (TOMB). In the menu that pops up, and supposing you have already installed VDMSound, there will be an option 'Run with VDMS'. Select this option to start the game.

Now i have Logo,try to pay,but cant complete form ,cose there is no Cy there,i send mail to Guy..
