I guess you are talking about a new avatar (the one you have is already animated). What sort of animation? What is the picture? Can you post it?

So many questions! LOL!
I thought the little animations were a few picutures just showing them in a slide show?

And I cant post them cause they are huge photo's which would need to be downsized and all that jazz which I cant do cause I have school work coming out of my ears! lol.

I just had a quick look for some free animation tools and came up with the following :-

Photobie (http://www.download.com/Photobie/3000-2192_4-10503076.html?tag=lst-0-3)
xiberpix (http://www.download.com/Sqirlz-Morph/3000-2186_4-10490790.html?tag=lst-0-5)

Free Trial
Bannershop (http://www.selteco.com/bannershop/)

I haven't tried any of these as I have a licensed version of Animation Shop3.

You can also make animated pictures with Microsoft Gif Animator (http://www.teach-online.de/HILFEN/PROGRAMM/PicturePublisherWorkshops/animierte-bilder/) which is quite simple in use, and it's free :)

'Adobe's Imageready' (which comes with photoshop and isn't free unfortunatly) is another program I use for any animations I have to do!! Anyway, if you want, I could take a look to do whatever you want done!!

What's the max dimensions and file size for an avatar. I might have a go at making one.

Can someone advise please? I did a search and I couldn't find this sort of info.

thanks

Open the image again with MS Gif Animator, select a frame and hit the 'Image' tab on the right. Where it says 'Duration', type a number of your choice (ie, 50, 100, whatever you want, depending on how slow you want it to be). You have to do this for every frame of your animation, and preferably set the same number for all.
