Stairs???

I'm playing level 3 of Unfinished Business. I just finished the room with arrow trap & walkways between lava pits. It says return to the doorway of the pyramid room and go to the left (northwest) corner and down the stairs. I have walked the whole room and I don't find the stairs. Please help.

This sounds like you havent pulled the right switch in the bi-level room with the 3 mutants. If you have been here (which is located on the right ramp going down as you enter the area with the arrow trap and walkways, and to the right at the end of the corridor) this might be the problem. In the bi-level room, there are 6 switches, on the upper level (at the top of the narrow staircase) and there are 3 mutants in alcoves on the ground floor with pickups behind them as you enter the room (don't bother picking up the items yet as it will be safer using the switches), 3 of the switches animate the 3 mutants in the alcoves down below the stairs and 3 of them open the entrance to the staircase in the pyramid room. Once you have pulled all six of these and killed the mutants you can enter the pyramid room again and head up the staircase and you'll encounter another atlantean and a lava room up top, also on the ground floor of the bi-level room is a switch that triggers a centaur outside the fleshy windows, pull this if you want all kills.
