i hadn't played the first tr in about 9 years. i really wanted to go back and experience it all over again and i want to say that it didn't disappoint. it's just as fun, scary, and creative as i originally remembered it. so here's some observations:

most missed move: underwater roll
least missed move: monkey swing

fave level: palace midas
least fave: great pyramid

fave death: midas touch
least fave: squashed by boulder. (she says, "ow" and blood flies out her head)

fave animation: laras flailing arms as she skids to a stop after sliding down a slope.
least fave animation: drowning.

fave enemy: croc
least fave: mummies

fave puzzle: bacon lara
least fave: interminable traps with no save crystals in great pyramid

fave secret: magnums in st. francis folly
least fave: uzis in sanctuary of the scion. i didn't even use them before they got taken away. also anything in city of khamoon. it seemed like the secrets there were all laying in plain sight.

I just LOVE the traps. But I can save anywhere since I'm playing it on my laptop. I think on a console (read: with save crystals) I wouldn't like it as much either.

That was a good breakdown there Stereopathic.

I agree on the Midas death! That was really great graphics, Lara turning to gold! That's the kind of 'non-puzzle' that we should all have sussed because as we know, everything Midas touches turns to gold :D

Even if I had thought about it I would still have jumped into his hand to see what happened! Every time I get to that part now I save and then jump into the hand of Midas :D

BTW did you exploit the Francis Folly bug? :wve:

thanx everyone! sugarpie, i sure didn't. i'm not even sure which bug that is. i did let the block fall on her in the thor room though. she popped right up on top of it.
