I was playing SANCTUARY OF THE SCION level, and after we enter the big sphinx, we drop in a big chamber full of water, right?

Swim to the big statue at the right, the one with two big ears:

[img=http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/9449/tombhealth39wo.th.jpg] (http://img529.imageshack.us/my.php?image=tombhealth39wo.jpg)

If you play with the camera, you will notice a hidden health pack INSIDE the ear, and is totally inaccessible!

(in this one we can't see the ear, but it's there. The usual graphic bug, that in this case, it was usefull to see inside of it.

Actually it is not inaccessible, I got it many times before, you need to drain the water first, get on top of the statue's head, run into the ear and hold action to pick it up.

there actually is an inaccessible health pack in the palace of king midas in the room with the switches ;) the designers built the room and forgot to make it accessible. the ended up leaving that medipack in as a joke. you can read that here:

http://trinity.westhost.com/tomb/scion/07w.html

quote from the site:

Gavin Rummery, a programmer who worked on Tomb Raider, told us the story behind this Medi Pack. He wrote, "...the artist obviously thought Lara could reach it, but you can't. It was found by the playtesters, and it was then we decided to leave it in as a joke."

you can reach the medipack if you use the corner bug though :D :tmb: :jmp:

There is also an inaccessible medi in TR2 (Temple of Xian), and TR3 (Coastal Village). I wonder if this "joke" was something they decided to persist with from one game to the next?

I feel sorry for people who try to get 100% of the pick ups and are still trying today

Well, I think they're possible to get with careful use of The Corner Bug and other such cheats, but I've never tried playing that way.

I know, I use the corner bug in Palace Midas to get the health pack because I want all pickups (any I can see). Even ones in Atlantis behind that door that won't open, I will just use a position editor!:D

oh, iv never noticed that, i only collected the shotguns shells that are there (which arent really usefull).

what always annoyed me in tr1 when i try to get 100% pickups and all secrets, is that that stupid secret at the end of "the great pyramid" doesn't register in the statistics on the pc version

Oh yes, presumably the one inside the hut which is placed on a swampy area :D

That in Atlantis IS reachable just by playing the game as it is supposed to be. I don't know which one you mean but I'm sure I got it. :D

There is a switch and door with goodies behind it, with lava at the end of the corridor, if you use the switch (because you think it will open the door) the door doesn't open and lava starts coming towards you!

It is situated past the pulsing spinal cord-like corridor with 3 atlantean creatures and secret #3.

There is a screenshot on this link:

it is the middle left one and bottom centre one as well.:)

Hey Sunwave! :wve:

Oh well :D , you can't get them anyway, there are 3 I think behind the red door, they are supposed to seduce you to pull the switch which causes lava to flow down and kill you (if your slow that that is and don't manage to get up the hole in celing, the lava is quite slow I think when coming down towards you)! The only way I think you can get them is to use a postion editor and put lara inside the doorway (although cheating).

That's .... just.......I think this ruins the 'inacessible medpack joke' of the games. There's not 1 inacessable but 4. :( :(

Hey! You changed your avatar! I like this one much more. Nice :jmp:

The ammo you refer to is a secret in the level!

It is an invisible ledge with the Uzis.

Ok, it's a secret. But it's like a "magic thing" (like the invisible bridge to access a secret in one of the snow levels in TR2), or a bug?

I think it's a bug, because it's... there! no music, no "temple", no special place to be... nothing!

Not a bug, but an unnessasary object! If it was a bug the designers wouldn't have intentionally put it there.....But it is a secret! :D
