Cutscene problems

Okay I own a copy of TR2 and for some reason I can't get to see the cutscenes between levels.At first it was just the sound that was off-sync but now I an't see them altogether.

I'm using XP : could that have to do with anything??

Firstly make sure you haven't inadvertantly set the game not to play the FMV by checking the setup in Start Menu/Core Design/Tomb Raider II/Setup Tomb Raider II

Are you playing the game in Compatibility mode, or are you using a patch?
