It's a really lovely song! I think it makes me get tears in my eyes because you think thats when Lara started her adventures and she could die any time in the future game's which you don't want to happen.

I LOVE the TR1 intro(menu) music. It was so pretty, and all the other games messed it up, especially aod. TRLR had the only other one that was near that good.

I do love the music - it certainly makes the game - a bit like a horror movie would not be spookie without the right theatrical music to indicate something is going to happen. I love the (French horn?) best I think - usually when Lara goes into a new, beautiful area - like Cistern I think?

It definitely makes me nostalgic. It reminds me of loading up the game for the first time and the cold, lonely feeling of the Peru levels. The music has so many more memories than the music in the other games.

Hmmm.....ah yes, the TR1 music. Beautiful at times, but at other times enough to make me jump. In the Peru levels there are times when the music really becomes fast and furious and I jump. But it's just a single wolf coming out of the shadows. I should play that game again sometime.

Tombraider's music is part of the experience of playing the best game ever produced!!. One question though: Are the monks humming a established piece of music, or one written for the game??. Whatever, when ever i hear the 'gregorian chants', the hairs on the back of my neck stand out like Jordans nipples!!!.

There really is that something about the Menu music on Tomb Raider I that, while not bringing tears to my eyes, does create a very nostalgic feel. I also enjoy the house in Tomb Raider I: it's so simple, but it seems to work so much better than in later games, where even the house had adventure quests at every turn. The music in the Tomb Raider II Golden Mask Menu, combined with the background image of that Menu, also nearly brings tears to my eyes. There is, with that too, some sense of nostalgia and wonder. Tomb Raiders III and IV really do nothing for me, but Tomb Raider V's Menu music and imagery saddens me deeply: it has that appropriate feel to it after Lara's untimely death.

I have never played Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. Is it better that I never do, to maintain this rose-tinted sense of the older, better games? But I do so want to find out what happened to Lara after her departure at the end of Tomb Raider IV...

I love the TR1 menu music, it's great! The only music I don't like is when there's danger and it goes all loud and you get a shock. :cool:

wow...talking about music:) now you start to talk about something that its real conected to me;),because i am a classic musician and i am a Oboe player. the TR main theme, starts with a oboe solo...OMG,,,first time i have eared that i was almoust in schock,it's so BEAUTIFULL!!!!

There is something about TR1. I don't know, none of the other games ever measured up, to me. I used to download just the TR1 theme and I wanted very much the music that plays in the first FMV, where she is climbing up the snowy tomb entrance and the wolves come out and kill her guide. Speaking of which, I have never seen such beautiful story FMV's as in TR1. That background sound in the first level of TR1 was really creepy but kind of pleasant to work against. It helped me concentrate.

I wish I remembered the TR1 theme. All I can recall is the menu theme of TR2. It was beautiful with the harp and the delicate strings (or synthesizer?).
