Mansion bug!

oh hello, people are telling me u can do this bug from Tr1 - tr5 so since u cant go outside, how do u do it.

Seeing as the rooms outside are not skyboxes, but instead textured rooms, it might be possible.

However, how one might acheive such a thing is a diffrent matter. o__O

well, im very curious, bugs now are starting to interest me. i need to no, since stellas wont help me (the bug instructions) since theres no outside.

Unfortunately you cannot get out into the textured outdoor rooms at all because the windows are solid textures and you cannot pass them any way shape or form. But there is a bug in Lara's Home however.

This is what I call the 'Matrix bug' as Lara stands completely still in the Trinity postion. To do it run up to the centre of the fireplace and jump and hold Action and let go at the right moment and Lara will stand still in that position, you can even move Lara sideways, to move again press Action.

As with all the Tomb Raider games there are walls in which you can perform the corner bug, this is apparent in TR1 Lara's Home as well. There are quite a few corners that you can perfrom the corner bug on in the mansion but they won't get you anywhere.

And with the outdoors, you can't pass the windows as they are solid textures and have no seams in between the edges for you to pass though, but still you can get a good view of the textured outdoor rooms if you get close enough.

I told you in my post, by the fireplace (there is only one and its right in front of you when you start TR1 mansion!).

In any room in the TR1 mansion, you can't get out into the textured outside rooms scattered about the place, as I said!

You got hold Action and let go just at the right time, immediatley after she start to go and grab, it will happen :D

I agree Jason - sometimes it can be difficult to establish where someone is telling you to go/what to do and what position you need to be in, so a shot clarifies it that much more.

There are a few on some of the walkthrough sites which are indeed of the greats help, especially when it comes to tricky jumps and lining them up!

Yes but is she completely still??? I mean not moving at all but in that funny position??? Just keep pressing those buttons and it should work!!:D

If I can add, I remember myself doing that sort of corner bug like in your second screenshot in TR2-TGM's 'Fool's Gold' level and later in 'Nightmare in Vegas' level. I barely got her out of there until I realized that a well-pressed Action should do the trick. :tmb: :p
