Ok techies. I picked up a copy of Tomb 1 at a flea market for $1. Its all here including the original registration card. I insert the CD into my CD-ROM and it starts automatically. I press enter at install. I select Auto-Detect for Sound card. If I then select TEST it freezes my PC. If I just bypass TEST and select Continue, it installs. I then go to the directory where the files were installed and click TOMB.EXE. The EDIOS screen appears then it goes black and my PC freezes. Whats up with this???
PS: If I go to my CD-ROM drive, and click TOMB.EXE from the CD directly, the game starts fine but no sound. I get background music but no sound effects or talking. Graphics are horrible as compared to TLR, but I can live with those if I can get this thing to load and play with sounds from the Hard Drive.
My machine is an IBM based MS-DOS machine with Windows 98se. Pentium 1, with 50 Gig HD and 96 Meg Ram. PC plays Duke Nukem, Redneck Rampage, and Shadow Warrior just fine and they are DOS based games like Tomb 1.
Whats the problem here??
