I have a question, what's the difference between the games ff x and ff x-2?

Quite a few differences. X-2 is the sequel to X obviously, you play with Yuna as the main character, and Rikku and Paine as two other playable characters.

Umm trying to think what else, battles are different, you have things called dresspheres which allows you to change outfits which have different moves, its mission based, you can go anyway you want in the game, as long as you follow the 'hotspots' which are places you have to go for the story.

Well thats all i can think of, its a bit sucky of an explaination. Sorry! :p

ffx2 batles are like from final fantasy 8 and no sphere grid anymore. You choose what skills to learn first. No aeons aka summons. It's girly and a happy game. though it also has some tradetical story plots if you finish it 100%. There are dress spheres in it. lots of hidden stuff like in ffx but I hate the blitsball in this one.. It's like managing the team in ffx2

Active time battles i think its called, like FF7, 8, and 9's battles.

- The only playable characters: Yuna, Rikku, Payne.
- Switch from FFX's turn-based system to Active Time Battle. The best, smoothest and most enjoyable ATB system I've ever seen, not that I've seen much.
- No sphere grid. Levels and Abilities are back. Need EXP and AP again.
- Dress spheres. Similar to Jobs form Final Fantasy Tactics.
- No aeons or other summons.
- Something you could call non-linear gameplay. You own an airship right from the beginning, and have all locations from FFX immediately available. In order to finish the chapter (there are five in the whole game) you need to travel to certain locations marked yellow, but you can also visit other locations and complete additional missions. Just so you know, loads of the story is hidden in these missions, so don't expect to see and know much if you don't complete them.
- Mini-games. Lots of them. Duh! The entire FFX-2 is one huge minigame.
- MTV-like story and atmosphere. Don't expect typical FF epic.

I don't play the Final Fantasy games but I think Final Fantasy X-2 is a follow on from Final Fantasy 10.

I think it's daft. Fancy calling a game Final Fantasy 10 2. :p

I don't like X and X-2, especially X-2. In X it's dialogue and stupid scenes almost every step you take, X-2 is a whole bunch of stupid sidequests, like pairing monkeys and stuff.

I hope FF12 has none of these bad qualities. I hope FF12 gets back to the roots of FF like FF7, 8 & 9 the way TRL is getting back to the roots of TR.

I only have FF VII, FF VIII and FF IX. I'm thinking of getting FF X.
So is there FF XI too?

final fantasy X follows a journey of Tidus the main playable character. you follow a jorney with Yuna, Rikku , LuLu, Wakka, Kimarhi, and Auron to defeat sin. Tidus follows through the story not knowing anything about the world becasue he was englufled in Sin and taken to the future. But after jorneying and reaching Luka Tidus soon finds out that Sin is his father a champion Blitzball player. Tidus has longed hated his father. Tidus is a bit of a crybaby as well. Through the game you must fight a maester named Seymore who is in love with the summoner Yuna. The summoner is suppose to defeat sin and collecta aeons on her pilgrimage in order to obtain her final aeon/ But if she faced since witht he final Aeon she will die. Tidus having a feeling of love for Yuna tries different attempts to stop it. And eventually did. By killing YU Yevon. thats about it. you are on a sphere grid system. whitch i find a bit wonky. but still a good game

final fantasy x-2 is Yuna's story. She on a jorney to find Tidus and bring him back to her. following different stories of other people along the way. The main characters are Yuna, Rikku, and Paine

FFX>>>>>>>>>FFX-2

Though FFX-2 is fun, especially for someone who likes the FFX characters and story, it still seems like an add-on rather than a sequel.
FFX has a great story and characters that I, personally, love.

Completely different games. The games are as different as FFVIII was to IX.

Whoops I completely didn't realise that! Prepare for a mod to come and tell someone off for necro-posting....
