Hi EveningStar,

To run tomb1 on winxp you need the advantaged installer from bokkie (don't no the link right now) and for the soun you need vdm sound (http://www.ece.mcgill.ca/~vromas/vdmsound/#download) and ofcourse there are other goodies for tomb1 Glidos (http://www.glidos.com)

I get the game to work, but I can't hear a thing, and I'm not able to see the videos.

There may be a problem with the CD. The Sold Out version has invalid sound tracks. To check it out try the following:-

Place your CD into the drive and exit any Autorun menu. Now start Microsoft Media Player and select the CD-ROM drive. You should see and play 9 audio tracks (TR2 has 60 tracks). You know you have a problem if either you cannot see the tracks or the tracks are silent (Visulisation doesn't move during play)

Let us know how you get on?

Hi TheEveningStar,

When you start Glidos TR you should get this dialog.

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/simulation/Images/glidos.gif

When you press Start it will launch a Dos window and start VDMSound. If you can't see the program being initialised that's your problem.

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/simulation/Images/glidosbatch.gif

You need to edit the file :-

c:\tombraid\glidos.bat

It should read :-

DOSDRV
gldvesa.exe Tomb.exe
