Just finished Kingdom Hearts II (no spoilers)

I am so excited!!!! :jmp: I just beat KHII on proud mode and it was so awesome!!!! After I finish my homework I'm going to go back to it and get 100%. The absolute best game I've ever played, undeniably! :eek:

I highly recommend this game; however, you must beat the first game (preferably on 100% to get the secret video) and the GBA game, Chain of Memories. Otherwise the story will just plain confuse you.

I really can't say enough good about this game. The best story I've ever experienced in any game. Dare I say it... Better than FFX! :eek: I thought so anyway, even though I love FFX. The battle system has been improved dramatically. You honestly do not want to put the controller down, it's just too fun!

Sorrry for all the mumbo jumbo here, I'm just so excited! I'll definitely play this game over and over. KHII truly is a work of art, I really can't express how awesome of a game it is! I am just stunned!:cln:

i loved the first one. Im very dissapointed that soras voice actor went through puberty now he sounds like a 30 year old hehe XD He use to sound sooooo cute hehe now he sounds creepy... the gameplay still looks great and i love the story to ^^

You don't like Sora's new voice Lenochka? I think it's awesome! Sora has really grown up a lot. He went from a cute kid to a totally awesome young man! The whole time I was playing I kept thinking, "Wow, Sora is so COOL!" Never thought I'd say that, since he really wasn't "cool" per se in the first one.

My favorite character is Axel though, hands down. Coolest character ever! I was shocked when I saw that Jesse McCartney did his voice at the end credits! :eek: haha! I about died laughing because I just picture Jesse McCartney as a kid pop star. He did an dang good voice acting job though! :tmb: Obviously he's grown up since I've heard of him last.

Oh, and Titanium, I beat it in 28 hours. I was shocked though because Gamespot said it would take about 40 hours on normal and i played on the hardest setting. Oh well, no complaints. I guess I just set my character up really well with the skills and all. ;)

Already did. First ime around, hard mode (technically called proud mode). :p Wouldn't have it any other way. :tmb:

That ain't saying much considering Final Fantasy X had a pretty lame story. Final Fantasy VIII had a much better story. Hell, I could go on a list of games that have better stories than Final Fantasy X.

All of those games had way better stories than Final Fantasy X. I'm playing Kingdom Hearts II at the moment and I just beat Port Royal. It's great no doubt, but it follows the same pattern as the first. The entire scope of the story is lost early on, and hardly anything actually happens because you're too busy solving everyone else's problems, and the Disney cast and Final Fantasy cameos are forced to drive to the action. Plus it's a hugely button-mashingly friendly game. I'm playing on Proud mode and it isn't even half as hard as the difficulty should be. It's challening, but for the hardest difficulty in a game, it's pretty pathetic, especially considering the most difficult moments aren't even the boss battles, and the mini-games are stupidly easy with no challenge at all.

Also, if you like Axel, play Metal Gear Solid 2 since Axel's voice actor voices the main character of Metal Gear Solid 2.

I have to agree most of the voices are quite awesome, but what did they do to Aeris and Cid and Squall? Yuffie improved, and the rest of the voices are great but those three... ARGH, how awful.

Nope, Squall Leonheart (almost got it!) is no longer voiced by Boreanz. A shame, as he was a pretty good Squall. The new voice actor is weak.

My older brother is playing the game, and he's liking it right now. I haven't played it yet, because I haven't beaten the first one, and I didn't care for the first one much either. I did watch my brother play through the Pirates of the Caribbean section, and that part looked really awesome though. :eek:

Thanks TrojanMan (for the name and info!). It's a shame he isn't being voiced by Boreanaz. It was the main (and possibly only) reason I bought KH. This will put a downer on the game for me now :( Oh well, bring on... October? And some people are fretting over a 4 day wait for Legend :p

Ack! I have Holloween Town, Agrabah and Atlantica (yuck) unlocked but whenever I enter a world the game freezes. Laaaaame. I was enjoying it too. The disc is brand new and in pretty good condition. I hope to hell it isn't my PS2.

It's your PS2 more and likely. Depending on the age of it. If it's an older one it probably is at an early stage of a disc read error issue. This has happened to mine and I know exactly how to fix it. I've helped a lot of people with theirs too.

With one freeze I'm not sure I'd take the risk of taking it all apart and everything, but if the problem persist, send me a PM and I'll be glad to tell you how to fix it. :)

In Japan, but it just came out in America just recently. I preordered it and received it opening day(in my area), which was on the 29th.

If you liked kingdom hearts there are loads of other games similar to than Genre, have you played any of the HACK games on the PS2 eg. HACK:INFECTION

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is a fantastic game also. It really is the perfect Action RPG. It has the intense and fast paced combat you'd expect from a straight-up action game, but has a leveling-up experience-based system like most RPGs, you can collect souls of dead enemies to upgrade the DOZENS of weapons for you FIVE PERSON party (large swords, short sowrds, muskets, machine guns, shotguns, laser guns, grenade launchers, staves, gauntlets and gloves) , and you can send two characters into battle and instantly swap between them at any time. There's an elemental damage system, hundreds of accessories to equip, a massive 25-our long quest (for an action game) with a full-fledged New Game + mode so everything from the previous game beaten carries over. It also spans two PS2 DVDs, has a Japanese voices track, a well done storyline, tons of character development and chemistry...

Definately the best game I've played this year so far. Also on the PS2.

I said 28 hours but I checked back and looked and it was 25. I'm really shocked, I expected it to take me much longer. I didn't rush through it or anything and I ended it with almost 100%. All on the hardest setting. I guess they expected the boss fights to last a little longer or something. I'm not sure...

Regardless, it has plenty of replay value. I'm trying to get 100% now. :D
