The Cradle Of Life to release in August?

Greetings. I've just received several emails from different sources all claiming that Paramount will release the second Tomb Raider movie, The Cradle Of Life, in August. Official confirmation is pending on this.

I really hope they don't. My thoughts were that they would delay AOD untill the movie came out. That would give TR fans 2 things at once. They would also be able to promote each other. That would be a smart move. If COL is released in August and AOD isn't delayed anymore then I guess I was wrong. Lets just hope for a comfirmation that that rumor is false.

If you look at it from a financial side its probably better that TR2 is released in August so it won't have to compete with all the movies being released in July. Besides, it will be just in time for my birthday!!!! :D :D

My view on delays for the movie or the game is the same -- as long as they make it better, I don't mind.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle Of Life is to be released on Friday August 22nd. This is expect is for the UK. The USA release date is bound to be about 4 weeks or so before. They might release the film on the same days like Star Wars EII and TLOTR: The Two Towers. However....i dought it!

Personally i am gald that they have put it back because it means that they want to edit the movie and get it just right without rushing it. If do they rush the movie it may not end up half as good as it could be. eg. the SFX?! :rolleyes:

It's success could well depend on the competition that its up against. Terminator 3 is (supposed) to be out in May so no problem there, but even if The Matrix : Reloaded comes out in July, I expect the cinema's will still be heaving for weeks afterwards...

I think Starship Troopers 2 is due this summer too... :D

The relaise date of Tomb Raider 2 is: 14.08.03

And in my opinion the date for GB is earlier.
