Duffmans review of the COL soundtrack:

im very happy with the soundtrack for the second installment of the Tomb Raider movie series. I bought it yesterday and listened to it on my way home on the train. in fact, im listening to it as i post. There are some very good upbeat songs and top picks by the producers of the soundtrack. I was also taken by Track 16 (Pandora' Box - Alan Silvestri). Its an orcastra number which has a very nice soothing sound. I am a big fan of the first soundtrack - listening to it very frequently (Duffman is a big music listener)... and enjoy the 'house music' numbers (ie. Terra Firma, Song of Life, Edge Hill...) and track 16 has the same sort of sound to it as those...

all up im happy with the purchase - yet couldnt be as happy as with the first soundtrack as it came with a bonus disk with TR: LR and TR: Chronicles demos...

I will get to see the movie in a few weeks which is great - and also have AOD in a few weeks also... (with a new PS2 i will get myself - early chrissy pressy ill get myself :D )

i CANT WAIT for the TR2 flick - and ive heard a mixture of thoughts on it so im eager to make my expert ( ;) ) judgement on it.

AJ was on a show here in Aus called "ROVE LIVE" - its a light entertainment sort of show - big here in aus - and it was good to see her as she spoke about maddox and all her adventures on and off set.

Hopefully you guys enjoy the soundtrack too - the only addition i would have like to see was Did my time - Korn... which isnt included...

I bought the soundtrack yesterday, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed to it.

Only songs that I really like in soundtrack are Moby's "Jam for the Ladies" ( I had to start dancing when I heard the song http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/smile.gif ), Alan Silvestris "Pandora's Box" (just beautiful) and the Crystal Method's "Starting Over".

Other songs are OK or just really bad, not for my taste. I love the first soundtrack, althought there are also few songs that I don't like at all, I really like the electronic music that is in it.

I would also like to have the score soundtracks but i haven't found any in Finland :(

Well, I also have to say I haven't really listened the soundtrack a lot because the same time I bought this soundtrack I also bought Enigma's new album. And I have mostly listened that.

Duffman you lucky ---, I didn't get any bonus cd when I bought the first soundtrack!

I bought it too, it's a good soundtrack bu the first was better.

Another weird thing about it the tracklisting on the back doesnt match the songs on the cd. They even tell you inside the booklet that the tracklisting isnt right on the back cover. How stupid.

Anyway TR2 is finally coming out here soon so i cant wait.

the soundtrack is good - but the first was better i think too...

i was just happy to have something related to COL - as its been a LONHG wait for the film and now i have something that is a part of it im happy. There are a few good songs... but as i said - i would have like Did My Time - KorN...

I bought it on Sunday and I haven't listened to anything else since. I know it's not as good as the first sountrack, but it's still great. I got the bonus disc too by the way. I think it was only available in Australia.

Anyway, my fav track would have to be Alan Silvestri's "Pandora's Box". It's so beautiful. My other fav is P.O.D- Satellite. This Satellite is so much better than Bosco's weird Satellite on the TR1 sountrack. It was still good though, in a weird sort of way. :rolleyes:
