Hi everyone :wve:

What are your favorite movie songs of all time; name 3. :)
In my school, we're doing a chorus show where the theme is going to be "Movies"...
I really wanna try out with a song, but right now I can't come up with anything.
I've been looking for some "pop comtemporary" style songs, but unfortunately, I didn't have any luck so far.
The auditions are going to be next week.
So, can you all fine forum folks name some of the best movie songs from your opnion?

I really wanna have an idea of some good "movie" songs.
Thank you. :)

Hmm, the song has to be pop contemporary? The only good movie songs I can think of right now are the LOTR opening song and maybe some stuff from The Matrix. :D Not sure if you'd want to enter with those.

Lol, it can be some other stuff too... Just something that would make sense for me go and try out for the auditions with. :)

How about Instrumental Music?, I have some soundtracks form some games that I like, does that count?...

No, :( Unfortunately it has to be from Movies, since that is our theme for the chorus show.
Either way, feel free to post the Movie songs you guys like. This thread is not only about me trying out with a song; it's also for people from the forum to mention the songs they like - regardless of the style - even classics. :)

Definitely the music of Requiem For A Dream.

Also, Pirates Of The Caribbean has a great soundtrack.

Seeing as I have a big interest in soundtracks, this would be my list... Or something like it, well that I can think of now:

Note: I'm not counting soundtracks with real artists such as Duran Duran from Donnie Darko etc.

The Crow - Rain Forever
OldBoy - The Last Waltz
American Psycho (Unreleased Tracks) - The Ritual
FFVII Advent Children - Advent One Winged Angel
FFVII Advent Children - J-E-N-O-V-A

Donnie Darko - The Artifact And Living
Donnie Darko - Liquid Spear Waltz
House of Flying Daggers - Bamboo Forest

FFVII Advent Children - Advent One Winged Angel

I hated the Advent Children -remix of One Winged Angel... The original was so awesome!

Of course it's better but I had no other choice since it was movies only :)
Although I think the Advent one went well with the scene in the movie.

If we're talking about movie songs as opposed to non vocal soundtrack then I'd say maybe Thunderball, although many of the James Bond movies have good theme songs. I hate Goldfinger though!

The whistling theme from Bridge Over The River Kwai "Colonel Bogey" I think it's called. Whether it's strictly a "song" I don't know.

In my sappier mood I also like the song from The Secret Garden- I think its called Winter Light.

And yes, The Rocky Horrow Show is virtually non stop 60 minutes of good songs! (Do musicals count?)

"River Lullaby" from "Prince of Egypt"
Rarely a song gets a tear to my eye - but this one did. It made a very strong impression.

Braveheart... when William's father dies, the bagpipe song almost makes you cry. It rules.
