problem saving

i cant save on my old ps1 card in the small ps2 .allthough i used to able to save on that with my big ps2, but thats knackered now . so how am i gonna make a save. is there a card out there i can use ? coz tr1 is a bit long to play with no saves.
any ideas

That's odd. Have you made perfectly sure the memory card is in the slot properly? Is it dusty at all?
It could be that it's not formatted. Just load up Tomb Raider with the card in, and it might give you the option to format the memory card before you start playing.
Or you can just start playing and save it, and see what happens. It might still save it but you just can't view it using the PS2's 'Browser' option.

No, the only way to format a memory card if TR1 is loading any saved games is to manually format the card in the Memory Card option, just switch the PS1 on without a disc and choose the Memory Card screen. ;)

when i put the game in with the card, i get no memory card come up in red across the screen do you think the card it self is faulty i get the same thing f.f.7.

The card must be damaged then if it is not working any way shape or form. Buy a new one. I brought a new one for a pound in the poundshop down my highstreet. ;)
