View Full Version : Stuck by the lava?

This is in "The Great Pyramid". I was walking trough those dangerous traps in this level, and i reached an area where some lava flows in my way. I grabed a health pack, where i stand.

Now, i want to proceed, but every time i jump, i get flamed!!! How do i get to the other side? I hope this isn't a bug, because it's the only save point i have!

As far as I know, that medipack is a decoy - a trap that can't really be picked up. There is a similar one in TR3 in the Coastal Village level - a large medipack is located on some quick sand, but if you try to get it, you drown!

I think its best to just run past the Lava when it starts moving and leave the health pack behind...

Well, i don't know if it's a decoy. In fact, i have grabed it!

But it's stupid! I have plenty of space to stand there and be not in flames! Shouldn't they notice that people would stand there, if they wanted? :(

Now, what do i do? Jump level cheat, right? But it's the last level, and i want to fight Natla!

You can get the medipck alright. From there you should just do a running jump to the other side of the room.

But the situation shown in that screenshot is impossible to get past. Sorry.:(

Just a quick question. After grabbing that medipack, you didn't then walk to the left, did you?

I just grabed the medipack and i watched the lava flowing and stopping, thinking that it would be easy to jump over it!

I have to say that I never bother grabbing it - by this point in the game, I have so many packs it's ridiculous! I even think my original walkthrough says to just ignore it... that's where I got the impression it was a trap.

I agree with you that by that point there are so many medi packs, but I for one like collect all pickups in every level!

What I meant to ask was that, after grabbing the medipack, you didn't then go and walk onto the square to the left, like so...

But from the sound of things, it sounds like the lava flows are triggering without moving forward or to the left, which really shouldn't be happening. Sorry I can't be of more help.:(

it's totally easy but you have to keep moving. run to the medipack to pick it up. then take a standing jump forward towards the door and keep running until you get there.

Yep, Dr. Robotnic. I made that move. Ups! But now i have saved the game right where i am, in the screen cap! I'm stuck! And the worst is that i am in the last level, so... i have finished the game (i can't make the pass level cheat)

just start the level over. you'll be surprised how fast you can get through it after you've just done it. good luck.

I'd have to play it to see if it's possible to progress. Jump without pressing CTRL perhaps? I thought this was the bit where there is a crevice in the wall which you can grab and use to shimmy across.

How unfortunate if you have to start the level over :(

I guess downloading a savegame from Stella's should be the only solution to not to loose the final battle...!
