The best part of Unfinished Business for me would have to be the first level - Return to Egypt and the outside desert. I love that. That was the first ever outdoor area in Tomb Raider 1! I love the twinkling stars in the sky, the beautiful Pyramids and sand and I also love the golden temple and the extotic area of that small pool.

My other best bits of the game would be the breathtaking cat temple in Temple of the Cat. That is just one spectacular find in a Tomb Raider game. I also liked the stepped pool area with the running cat motifs and the tutankhamun pictures. Just lovely.

I also think the hallway with the eight mummies in Temple of the Cat is quite a challenge, and very well presented. I love the way they don't animate until you head into the sandy hill area just beyond. Aww and the bright white cave with the long drop to deadly hot sand, another great find as well.

In Atlantean Stronghold, the start of the level is quite a tease with that rolling boulder. And the challenges you face with all those Lara hungry aliens is also great! I love to use the Shotgun on them, there is plenty of shells around! The best area of this level would have to be the lovely ancient Atlantean Pyramid, gosh that is just pure beauty. And you get such good views of that area on the pedestalls as well! But the level is very short IMO, but very challenging with all those aliens.

In the Hive, there is a boulder puzzle, that is just pure fun! And the hive with all those aliens at the end is just a big run to the end and is fantastic. But the most famous part of the level would have to be the area with the eight mutants! WOW! That is just great! I loved the challenge you had to face, another great mission!

UB is amazing - and I agree with you on the Temple of the Cat level. Rememebr that level with the moving cat friezes on the walls? That was so weird - almost hypnotic.

You know, I think I may ve to crank those levels up again. Seeing those screenshots really makes me hungry for some UB!!

There are 4 levels - 2 based in Egypt and 2 in Atlantis (but they are HUGE)

I don't know if they are buy-able anymore... I got mine years and years ago (before they were downloadable) :(

I had UB for a while, but lost it during the move from Orlando to Maryland a couple years ago.

I never really liked the Egypt levels, frankly speaking. The Atlantis ones always held my interest, 'cause well.. Atlantis was one of my favorite stages in TR1. ^^

I use dgVoodoo, a 3DFX glide wrapper program for Windows XP. It makes any old glide game like Tomb Raider to run with smooth textures at high resolutions. dgVoodoo is free and is an alternative to Glidos (another glide wrapper which costs $10 to register).

It may also be down to the mip-mapping option in the 3DFX version. I don't like to use mip-mapping as it washes out the colours of the textures like you say.
