Anyone going to this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4469098.stm)? More importantly, would any of you actually want to?

Gotta hand it to them. At the time they were a global force with some pretty original songs, rather than a modern-day manufactured Brit-Pop band who do nothing more than pollute the airwaves with their bubble-gum tripe.

I seem to recall that circa 1990 people were complaining about the fact that most everything around was manufactured bubble gum tripe too.

I don't much favour boy bands - most of their teeny bopper fans are now much older and probably no longer keen. They may attract new fans but I found some of their music a little repetitive.

As a solo artist, Gary Barlow was monotonous (music to hang yourself to). Time will tell as to whether or not they will be a success. Some of it was quite upbeat but I don't like bands like Westlife either. Every song is too slow in tempo and too lovey-dovey. I prefer a bit of gansta rap any day :D
