Lara destroys the scion by shooting it. After making her way through the pyramid she is confronted by Natla who has both survived her recent encounter with Lara and mutated as a result. She now has wings and a little atlantean plasma gun for an arm (really cool looking) after defeating Natla, Lara slides out of the pyramid, runs of the island, dives into the sea, steals Natlas boat (naughty girl) and rides off...Simple as that, yet classic.

If memory serves the scion was a tool that allowed Natla to 'strenghten and advance' her 'guinea pigs' into these new monsters.

The giant monster that you fight is one of Natla's creations. It hatches from a giant egg above a platform you're standing on. It has no name, back-story, nothing, little is known about it except that Natla was basically using the Scion for a kind of 'evolution of steroids' experiment and this was one of the results. One of the best bosses ever imo.

Completing Tomb Raider at 6 is phenomal! Well done! I can't remember what age I was, about 10 I think. Maybe younger.

im 17 and i've STILL not completed it. hahahaha. but saying that I was a cheat queen and I only did the first level, the dinosaur level, and the last level, but OH GOD how hard was the last level the first time u played it? it took me over a month and a million games magazines to finish it. Good times.

If memory serves me, the island - the ruins of Atlantis, the Pyramid - explode just as Lara dives off into the ocean. Then she swims away in Natla's cruiser... :)
