Strange Bug: The Great Pyramid

Last night I was messing around in the Gret Pyramid taking yet more screenshots of the Giant Mutant, when suddenly this happened...

I was jumping backwards as per usual (though pretty dumb given where the Giant Mutant was)...

I land, and then jump again.. It was only then that I'd noticed that the Giant Mutant had knocked me so that I was about to jump right off the ledge...

But then all of a sudden I burst into flames! :yik:

If I recall correctly, I went through the underwater death animation, but then I found myself falling down the pit, no longer on fire (but still dead) ...

I then hit the lava and died again, but I didn't catch fire this time...

Has anybody else ever had anythinng like this happen to them? It scared the living hell out of me when it happened, but now I just don't know what to make of it. :confused:

I know, when it first happened I was like:yik: :yik: :yik: for a while, and then I was like :confused: :vlol: :eek: . Lucky I had Fraps running at the time. :D

Nope, no savegame, unfortunately. :( I've been trying for ages now to get that to happen again. I'll try again later and let you know if I get it to happen again! :)

Yeah absolutely. I was shocked, I didn't know what on earth was happening LOL! I fell down the pit, just before I hit the ground I get killed by the mutant all the way back up on the platform!?? So strange but entertaining. :D

I just got that bug working, but when I tried to record it the game treated it as a Game Over and loaded up the menu! :hea: :(

I haven't gotten that first bug working again, but I've just something else happen. I was stood at the edge of the platform, when the Giant Mutant tried to do his double-handed attack on me. He hit me, and than all of a sudden I found myself on the platform below, like so...

Pretty cool, but also pretty useless because there's nothing you can do down there.

I actually managed to get that first bug working again, but in a different area. God only knows what I'm doing because it seems to be a matter of pot luck. Oh well...

I've had Tomb Raider Master's bug working on three seperate occasions, and each and every time I failed to get a screenshot. :hea: :mad: :(

But then, given that I'd tried that a hundred times, I had to get lucky eventually. The first time I was too slow with the screenshots, the second time I didn't take any at all, I think there was a third, and possibly a fourth time, but I can't remember what happened there...

Forget the glass of champagne, I'm taking the whole bottle after what I went through! :D :p

The only thing I remember that was strange was in Level 6. I was against lions and they were about to kill me. I backed against the wall and they couldn't get me. They just kept trying to run.

It was just the comment by 027huds that the lions in the Coloseum weren't attacking them when they was backed up against a wall. I just fancied giving it a try.

All that I've seen so far is the Game Over screen several times. But I think I might have something, which might not be exactly what they're talking about, but is pretty damn strange nevertheless...

I had a bug in the colloseum as well. You know that balcony that overlooks the colloseum, with the gorillas in it? I grabbed onto it from the left side, and climbed up and there were frozen gorillas in there. :p It was kind of creepy, I couldn't hurt them or anything. I'm guessing that they weren't triggered yet and that I was supposed to approach it from the right side, with the fallen rocks.

The Great Pyramid bug looks fun, I'll make sure to try it when I get there.

YIKES! Amazing bugs!!!!! Atlantis is one ****ing freaky place alright!

And about that 'bug' with the frozen gorillas, yes, I've seen that. If you peer around the corner when you know enemies are near (crocodiles, and the lions in the big sandy place in Palace Midas) you can see them standing there, inanimate. It scares the hell out of me, it's so... creepy.
