So, do you belive in it? I do, I belive this is just a shell we live in, and eventually itll wear out, and what ever we belive will happen, will happen eg. go to heaven, reincarnate, or just die, what are your beliefs?

I believe that when we die, we die, that's it. There is nothing more.

If you are all coming back to life, i'll just rot, and feed the worms and other creepy crawlies. Insects have to eat too you know!.:D

I don't really believe in any sort of afterlife myself, but the Ancient Egyptian concept of resurrection fascinates me

Not really. It's quite complicated. You might live as a different person, but then you wouldn't be you. You'd be a different person.

I don't believe in life after death. When you die... you're dead, regardless of whether you remain sentient or not. I'd like to think that the end isn't just a void or an eternity in one place, but I've got the feeling that when you die, you're finished; your consciousness switches off like in dreamless sleep and you just cease to exist. I'm not scared of that, because what I'm describing is the state that we were all in before we were conceived... so we've all been through it already.

As for near-death experiences, I remember reading somewhere - New Scientist probably - that when the brain/body receives a particularly large amount of trauma (such as a heart attack or car accident), your brain triggers the release of chemicals into your body to deal with the stress, the side effects of which include powerful hallucinations. And when your subconscious is convinced you're dying, your beliefs about death would affect those hallucinations, which would explain why so many near-death experiences share similarities (because most of us share our beliefs about death).

I believe you either go to Heaven or Hell when you die. I guess I will find out for sure one day, just hopefully no time soon.
