Hi! :wve:

I'm having a little problem whilst installing Legend:

CRC error occured while installing!
Please read the Readme.rtf for additional information and Technical Support contact information. This happened during the second installation. In the first installation, though, my anti-virus program recognized trl.exe as a virus, which caused the installation to abort.

Any help is more than welcome. Thanks. :)

Disable your antivirus application before installing the game!

Yes I have, but then the quoted message pops in the middle of the installation.

CRC error. Make sure the disk is clean and free of scratches and fingerprints.

Also disable any system protection you may have running.

I heard the game was not released in Croatia yet. Are you trying to install from a downloaded copy?

The DVD itself is very clean. And about the anti-virus programs, I have disabled them all (I even got the "Your computer might be at risk" message), but the problem is still here.

Joseph:

So it's not the original. Then our support ends here, sorry. :(
See if you can solve the problem with help of your friend.

I think Tomb Raider Master means, that he's friend got him a copy of it. Not a copy like burning it to another CD. You know?

I've got the same message and I got mine original.

What is a CRC error BTW?

Joseph

Cyclic Redundancy Check.
This error message could be generated by any of the below reasons.

During the transmission of the file it became corrupt or bad
The file was sent inappropriately
The device being opened from is bad or contains errors
The file itself is bad or the program attempting to open the file is bad.

Tomb Raider Master

Joseph, what to you think it's causing problems here: DVD or PC?

Joseph

Joseph, What is SSE or SEE?Both are instructionsets, implemented in the CPU.

A friend of mine also got those SSE message, it says his CPU doesn't support SSE so TRL stopped the installation...
