I recently began playing TRC again after a very long time, when I enter the control list in the start menu I get a really strange high-pitched voice making an equally strange sound....What is it?!!! :confused:

The rumours are true then - EIDOS encrypted 1 in a 1000 discs with a special track, which when played after a long period of inactivity, give out a strange noise. when played backward and slowed down - says' CLEAN THIS DISC!!' - SORRY - ONLY JOKING!!!!!!:cln:

LOl, curious stuff indeed! Still never happened to me...LOL! I don´t know what it is...but I think this topic should be moved to Tech Support! There, mods and techs can help u find out what is that strange sound...

Are you sure it says: "CLEAN THIS DISC!!' - SORRY - ONLY JOKING!!!!!!"?

Could you click on following link Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) , select to Run it then paste the complete result in your next reply? :)

Um ok be more specific be more specific um ok....

Currently in the Trajan Markets.

Start>Game Settings

That's where it makes the sound, it sounds kinda like Hapy Tree Friends theme :( with a kind of christmasy ring to it. It also sounds like a tape recording being turned on and off.

If I go to Game Settings, then back to the Paused menu then back to Game Settings the sound doesn't come up the second time, at this point it returns when I go onto any of the options under game settings (e.g. "Configure Controls" and "Music Volume"). Just moving to highlight any intialises the sound.
