What are the weirdest films you have ever seen?

1. Un Chien Andalou (doesn't make any sense, although this was the intention)
2. Eraserhead (same as above)
3. The Cell (people go into the mind of a serial killer)
4. 2001: A Space Odyssey (lots of symbolism, very hard to figure out)

I wish the topic creator hadn't mentioned Eraserhead... I was hoping to trump everyone's picks with that one! HAS to be the weirdest film ever... Donnie Darko was weird too.

As previously mentioned, Eraserhead. A totally ridiculous, nonsensical film as I recall.

Has anyone here seen Un Chien Andalou????

I actually love Un Chien Andalou!

The weiderst I've seen is a little film called The Forbidden Zone, which coincidentally involved tv- and film-score supremo Danny Elfman when he was still only really known locally in LA as frontman of a band.

I need Rocky Horror on dvd :p

Weirdest film....um.... that would be something like the twilight zone with a huge and VERY scary evil rabbit.

And also another film (I'd love to know what it was called) where people in a movie theatre were getting attacked by a huge green blob type thing but then they all ended up eating it! They were stuffing their faces with green stuff! It was very perculiar.

It's far from being the worst I've seen, but I found both the storyline and the characters all a bit wierd. Worst movie would be Darkhunters. I don't even know how it go to be a movie, I could make a better one single handed with a camera. Gosh, so lame!

the butterfly effect. never understood it, never will.
in a nutshell: Guy can go back in past through his journal readings, has ability passed down from father. Trys everything to end the story happy where he still gets the girl, never works out so he makes it so she and him never get involved at all and thats how it ends....a cool movie and done kinda cool but nothing to spectacular.

The one I mentioned, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I felt like clearing it up, given some people were considering the wierdest to be the sama as the worst and it wasn't the case with mine.

I'd agree with your choices - but not 2001 (a previous poster). That film was the mutt's nuts of Sci-Fi !

2001: A Space Odyssey was one of the greatest films ever made, but it's still really weird.
