Hello all..
Like all of you i am a BIG fan of TR Series.. ever since i bought my 1st CD in 97 :D...

Since then lot has changes and technological development has given rise to many problems...

Problem:
In the VERY 1st level .. (0%) when you use the grapple for the first time to move the circular monument.. as soon as i press Q at the direction of the monument.. the game crashes out to desktop. (screen shots attached)

Steps taken:
Updated ATI 256MB 9800PRO Driver
Updated Creative Audigy2 ZS Pro Plat Driver
DirectX 9.0c
Windows is up to date
Updated to TR:L patch 1.1

And problem still exists.. will be very grateful for the solution.

Post this in the tech section, You'll get better response :tmb:

Uninstall Legend and install it, Load patch. As, That means, That you'll not play the game at all until the patch is installed.

I had a gut feeling i was posting in the wrong section :(

Lara.. i installed the game .. applied patch.. then started playing..
but as u suggested.. ll uninstall and try again..

Could this be due to the patch itself :confused:


Any other possible solution!

ps: i think nicky is a hidden user.. so (s)he ll appear offline to u unless (s)he is in ur buddy list!

Hi Aeolian,

Can you dowload and run Diagnose.exe (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/download/diagnose.exe) which will list your game and DirectX settings. Then copy and paste the results into a reply.

I use a NO-CD Patch.

The No CD Crack is the problem. It has been reported many times that the cracked version causes the games to crash.

I suggest you uninstall and re-install the DVD (and 1.1 patch if it is a European version).

There were (at least) 2 cracks for v1.1 by a group called Deviance. The first version was kinda rushed and thats the one that crashes. There is a repack released that seems to work fine afaik. I do not know where to find it thou.

yap.. TR:L patch 1.1 was not for me :D
after i made fresh installation its all going good!!
