For me, I'm going to have to say 311. That band was amazing live, so much energy...and their bass player is amazing!!

I've never been to a live concert but if I did, I know for certain the best concert ever would be TORI AMOS! :D

She is the best musician in the world. She's incredible.

I've only been to two concerts so far, the first one was Three Days Grace.. the second was the Warped Tour '04.. which mostly consisted of me walking around all day in the heat. I'll say the first one is the best. :p

AC-DC with out a doubt. Lights, guitars and cannons. Bon Jovi was good, as was, going back a bit, ZZ Top. Lasers were awesome.

The Yes "Masterworks" tour several years back... They played all the hardcore fan favorites, not messing around with new stuff. Kansas was the opening act, which is not too shabby, IMO!

picking the best is impossible. the best lineup i ever saw was Suffocation, Cryptopsy, Vader, Decapitated, Aborted, Despised Icon and Dew-Scented in november. i also saw Opeth, Nevermore, Into Eternity that month. last summer i went to an Anthrax show where they recorded a live album and dvd, but i haven't seen the dvd yet.

I've been to far too many to list only one, so here are my top memories:

U2, May 1983 US Festival, Devore, California - They were absolutely electric.

Guns n Roses, 1989, RIP Magazine 3rd Anniversary Party Gig, LA, California - the first time I got to see them, still the old line-up, and they blew me away.

Ice T, 1991 Gathering of the Tribes, Costa Mesa, California - This was the pre-cursor to the infamous Lollapalooza and he had everyone in the audience rapping along. Brilliant.

I know there's more, but this'll have to do for now.

FOZZY, October last year, it was held in a rock club-i was in the second row and it seemed like more of a personal experiance, (especially when the front 3 rows rushed the stage at the end of the show-me included) and at the end before the band left me and my mate who saw it with me got to shake hands with the band members...It was probably the coolest night of my life

Toss up between A Perfect Circle (Southampton, 2004) and (original line up) Black Sabbath (Birmingham, 1999).

I really, really want to add NIN (Brixton 1999) to that list... they were awesome, don't get me wrong, but even I have to admit that the two gigs mentioned above were better! A Perfect Circle are the most technically proficient band I've ever seen (they were scarily good), and Black Sabbath for the wonderful sense of camaraderie betwen the band and the fans... that, and Geezer Butler's bass solo blew me away!

Saying that, I had a lot of fun seeing Queens of the Stone Age, too... and Faith No More... hmmm... The Breeders were awesome too...

Arrghh! Too many gigs to choose from!

Have you ever noticed any similarities between Tori Amos and NIN? Some people think there is something in this.

EDIT - there used to be a lot more to that page, with weird similarites in their lyrics and things.

WOW! I came in here to say 311 and I did not expect other people to say the same! I've been to 5 of their concerts thus far and I'm going to another in August. i LOVEEEE when they do the Stomp thing and all the members start playing drums on stage. I've also been to Linkin Park and Cypress Hill but they weren't as great as 311 IMO;)
