Check this out, it totally fits, it beats me when Angelina did not sign for the latest tomb Raider, its sad, but we had to cut her a little bit of slack!?
Just as you know, look at this hotty, Can't we consider her too good to star as lara croft?

Oh man...I understand how u feel! ;) But Jessica is not Lara, u see...I still think that AJ is the best for playing the role of Lara! Doesn´t she gave us enough proofs??? ;)
Not to mention Amgelina´s personality and attitude behind the scenes...she has "some" of Lara inside her...it´s just too deep than just the look and their body!!!

Im a HUGE fan of Alba, I really loved her in Dark Angel and The Sleeping Dictionary, aswell in Honey...hot as movie.
But NO WAY is she Lara material. After Dark Angel wrapped she cursed the stunts she did and sead she didnt want to do any again.
Her figure is not in any resemblence to Lara, AT ALL and her face either

She is very very good looking. But she does look very mediterranean. And for a character like lara whos image is so important i think you have to cast someone who looks like her. It would be like casting Charlize theron as a Chinese Empress. it doesnt work.
I also think Jessica is too young.

no offence but can ya'll tell me why ya want a tr3 movie even if AJ doesnt play lara? it doesnt make sense. tr isnt like james bond where they make more and more movies and change characters. there will only be 3 tr's for the simple reason that tr was always seen as a trilogy. i just dont get why u wanted AJ to play lara in tr1 and 2 and not in tr3

The only other actress that I would even consider to play Lara Croft in RL would be Jennifer Garner a little light in the physical qualities that Angelina Jolie has for playing Lara Croft...but she would make a excellent second choice! :tmb: Not to mention that both actresses [probably, more-so with Jennifer than with Angelina] have done the majority of the character's stunts within the movies that they have starred in! :D

You know, I was watching season 4 of Alias last night, and I was thinking the same thing. She would make a good Lara stunt wise, but she doesn't quite match her physique or character. I love Garner's acting, but she is a very....emotional actress, and I don't think Lara regularly feels the emotions her past characters have shown. MY next choice would be Kate Beckinsale!:D

I LOVE Kate Beckinsale...but NOT AS LARA! I think she would not fit the bill. Besides, she already portrayed a character like Lara earlier this year...SELENE from Underworld. The only similarities they have are their accents (to a degree) and shooting with twin pistols. Selene is a vampire character from a dark and gothic genre, whilst Lara is a tomb raider from an archaeology/adventure genre. They're actually quite different. :)

In fact, vampires aren't supposed to use guns! They're supposed to fly and bite. Haven't you seen or read any of the ANNE RICE novels or movies? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE both Underworld movies, but they're very similar to the TR character.

They're guns. Guns aren't the only thing that defines a character. I'm looking at their personalities and backstories. You're looking at their accents, sex and fire-arms. To each his/her own.

Also Phil at Yeeeah! uncovers a report that says Kate told MTV she's not interested in playing Wonder Woman in the upcoming Joss Whedon's adaptation of the comics:
'As Kate Beckinsale sees it, she could never play Wonder Woman even if the part were offered to her. "I never got the underwear," she explained recently. "My mother didn't believe in nylon underwear. She thought it made you itchy."
It's been nearly a year since rumors surfaced that Beckinsale would star in Joss Whedon's 'Wonder Woman' movie, and the actress is still having to answer to it. NO WONDER WOMAN! YEEEAAAAAH! I am so glad Kate is turning that lame piece of garbage down. The only female action movies that don't flop miserably are UNDERWORLD, CHARLIE'S ANGELS, and of course, or beloved TOMB RAIDER flicks!
All others including CATWOMAN, ELEKTRA, AEON FLUX, DOMINO, and ULTRAVIOLET all have one thing in common: they can barely take flight at the box office past $20 million! (save for Catwoman's pitiful $42 million)

Oh, no no no no. Catwoman IS in a league of it's own, however, it still goes under the "female heroine" category.
1) Elektra- $23 million -good film but very corny. I really enjoyed it though, much better than DAREDEVIL
2) Aeon Flux - $26 million - Pretty good movie, better than Elektra!
3) Domino - $11 million - Excellent, stylish, and amazingly done! I loved it!
4) Ultraviolet - $18 million - I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard terribly things from people who liked all of the above movies...so I assume it's pretty bad.
But I mainly listed those movies just to show that all female action movies pretty much flop!
Wow those are pretty bad box office returns.....but you forgot Bloodrayne.....which i didnt see, but it looked like it might cahllenge Catwoman........and it only made 2.4 million!!!!
