View Full Version : Tomb Raider Preview has song not found on soundtrack!!

They are running previews on TV playing a really awesome song on it (don't know the name - wish i did). However I bought the soundtrack for that song.. It's not on the CD!!! That BITES BIG TIME!!! Why would they do that??? Does anyone know the name of the song??

Hi James, was the music you heard orchestrial or a voice track ?
The music you heard could be found on the TR original score soundtrack which comes out on june 26...if not there, then i dont know what to do...

There's this site--www.adcritic.com--that I go to sometimes when I want to know the name of a song on a commercial. I checked there and didn't see anything about Tomb Raider there yet, but you might want to check back every once in a while.
I hate it when they put a song on a movie commercial than don't put it on the soundtrack; but what's even worse is when you hear a song in the actual movie and they don't put it on the soundtrack! :(

TO JAMESMIKEY>> I think I know what song you're talking about. If memory serves me correctly, its an excerpt from "Climbatize" (track No.9) from the album "The Fat of the Land" by a band called Prodigy. I think. Because I gave the CD to my friend about 3 years ago,(but most of the time my musical memory is pretty good). Check it out, tell me if I was right.

yea! thanks alot! that helped me alot. now theres this one other song that i need to find out. it was the background music when lara's doing the bungy ballet and the motorcycle jump (all the action scenes in the teaser trailer). it sounds techno. does anyone know it??

In the movie I think the song they're playing during the bungee ballet sequence (my favorite part!) is "Illuminati" by Fatboy Slim.
Isn't "Illuminati" by Fatboy Slim on the soundtrack? It says so from the gnutella download site.

Phil, are you sure it's Fatboy Slim's--bird of prey? I downloaded that mp3 and I didn't recognize it, i could be wrong though. Maybe we're talking about different previews. Are you referring to the teaser trailer? If not, then do you (or anybody else) know what song they play for the second half of the teaser trailer (the one they released in Nov. or Dec. of 2000)?

no this was on sky or someat and they must have just put in bird of prey for no good reason. it's not on any of the trailers. this was just a short bit in a review

They used Masters Of The Universe by Juno Reactor in the trailer but it never made it to the soundtrack.
