I’m going to be getting my first job this summer, actually I’ll be getting my first jobs this summer. I’ll be working two part time jobs, one at Radio Disney and the other at the YMCA (If I get the job, anyway).

So, I was wondering what was your first job? :)

I'm trying to find my first job at the moment. I hope it'll be in a book shop or something, though I'm willing to go for anything really. :)

My first job had two titles in one:
Administrative Assistant
Scholarship Coordinator

I worked for the Institutional Advancement and Foundation Office at Odessa College. It was a non-profit org that raises money to award scholarships for students who couldn't afford to attend college, but whose parents make too much for them to qualify for federal aid. Now I am a Technical Support Representative for Marshall and Swift/Boeckh; we support software that is used for property adjusting.

First job was working as a shop assistant... I was 12 :) . The I worked in a bakery and a restaurant part time until I was 18, then did my year out at the Jobcentre (what an eye opener that was!), left to go to uni but went back to the jobcentre for a bit after my degree, then trained as a teacher (initially in Science) - taught Science for a bit but didn't like it so I left (I was at a bad school - it was horrendous!) - then worked as an office manager for a heavy plant (pumping specialists) firm. After a year I decided that I wanted to get back into teaching, so did some supply, and I impressed the school I did supply at so they gave me a permanent teaching job - I swapped to teaching English this last September (and I love it! :D )

McDonalds, I cooked for hours, and let me tell you something, that job SUCKS. They keep on preaching about their team work and stuff, but they don't even know the meaning of the word...

They tell you "Enjoy it" when they give you the meal cause they bust their butts in the kitchen, and the least you can do is like their work:p

My first job was a Saturday job at a shoe shop. I hated it! We were told to pounce on the customers as soon as they walked in, and we all know how annoying that is  And for every pair of shoes you sold, you had to try and talk the customer into buying some polish or a handbag etc to go with them. Obviously, 99% of the time they didn't want to know. And the manageress was a cow. But apart from all that, it was great :tmb:

I was an assistant photographer. I went with my boss to take pictures at countless weddings. Lets just say I've learned alot about how I want my own wedding to go. =P

Working in a coffee house, but I didn't like it. I think I'm going to apply for a job at a bookstore by my house or something next.

A job at a toy factory with Plastic Injection Molding machines. I worked 3 weeks, well 2 weeks actually if you count the days I didn't call in. Oh and I almost forgot to mention. Not only did it have PIJ Machines but the boss was literally a f:cen:g psycho! I quit w/out giving them a 2 week notice. They asked why I quit, I told them the machines keep breaking down and there is nothing to do but wait for something to do or they make you sweep the floor. But actually the job just plain sucked. Unequivocally. :cen:
