I've only heard a few of her songs (all which I loved), and I saw the album at Best Buy not too long ago. I don't remember which album, or if there's even more than one... I was going to buy it, though. :)

I don't listen much to specific, non-soundstrack artists - if a song sounds good then fine, I don't care for further details - but among those few I actually recognize Bjork is my personal best solo singer. For my own reasons. She strikes a chord.

i love bjork. years ago, she was on M2 (now Mtv2) and said that before "debut" came out, she was torn between creating pop music and speedmetal. man, i woulda liked to have heard just ONE song.

I have been a fan since POST!

Debut is groundbreaking in every sense of the word - a true masterpiece!

She can have some beautiful songs but she can also be way to out there for me at times.

That's exactly how I feel about her! When she's "on" she's really good... but she's not always "on" IMO. I love almost every song on both "Post" and "Debut" however...

Post and Debut were her best, her new orchestra stuff isn't really doing it for me. All her crazy old songs like Human Behavior and Army of Me are what attracted me to her in the first place. In terms of her new music, I think I'll just keep her old stuff instead.

Björk/Bjørk means birch-tree in Icelandic, Faroese, Norwegian and Swedish. :)
I think it's "bjerk" in Danish.

Makes sense - it's "berk" in Dutch. :)

Interesting:)

BTW it's the "off the scale" part about her that makes me like her the most!

She aint mainstream and I love her for that!

Amy Lee from Evanescence is a HUGE fan of her. I love Evanescence too!
