I have a rather strange request.

Could someone with some Photoshopping skills brush some long black hair onto Jared Padalecki (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0655585/)?

I only have Photoshop 6 now, and I don't have those awesome hair brushes I had on CS :(

Thank you :D

I don't have any specific brushes, but I can paint hair from scratch... would that help?

Yes, anything that resembles hair would help :D

hokay - do you have a bigger pic, or do you want it based on the one you have linked to? (This may end up as a photo overpaint... I don't normally do them (feels like cheating to me!), but it will keep the textures the same).

I have no specific picture request, as long as he looks like himself. Photo overpaint was what I had in mind, but if you wanna paint a picture from scratch, I won't object :p

Okay - I've found a bigger version of the thumbnail... I'll see what I can do. I can't promise an original picture (although the pic I've got is a rather nicely lit one, full of interesting shadows...) simlpy because I don't have a lot of free time right now, I'll definitely be able to do something with his hair. When do you need it?

No rush, whenever you have the time :)

And it doesn't have to be the masterpiece of the century :p

I just tried having a go by pasting and using layers to create more of his hair and then colouring it black but it didn't really work. I used to have the brushes for hair on PS7 but now I'm using CS and I think the website where I got the brushes closed.

The only way to do this really would be to paste someone elses hair onto this guys head LOL

Which I could do if you found me a couple of pictures

1 - some guy with long black hair (the length you want it to be)

and 2 - A picture of this Jared guy where his head is facing the same way as the guy with black hair! :p

There are some excellent hair brushes at deviantART :)

Its still not guaranteed to work, the brushes have to be facing the right way, angled the right way etc.

You can change the angle of the brush in CS.

OKay - this is only about 20 mins worth of work... painted with the airbrush and smudge tool.

Too long? Not long enough? (normally this is the case... must... stop... drawing... men...with... ridiculously... long... hair... :D :D :D ) It can be tidied up, of course - I normally spend a lot longer painting, but I wasn't sure if this is what you wanted... :)

 You're more than welcome! If I have the time, I'll try to do a proper portrait rather than just a hair overpaint - the pic is interesting as a pose! (And I find it hard to pass up the opportunity to paint pretty young men with lovely long black hair... ;) )

No, the pic isn't painted from scratch (although I normally do so) - Kam just wanted some hair added, so I painted that. Like I said above, I may use the reference for something else, though. ;) Don't normally like overpainting, but I don't have the time atm to commit to a huge job (I still have about 5 unfinished pics to finish off first, including my Lara ones! :D )
