So.. im planning on buying one of these (Xbox, PS2) but I dunno.
I want to be able to play all the Silent Hill games, and most of the resident evil games. And well I think Xbox is selling for $86 and PS2 the older at $100 and the new one at $126. And the games are cheaper for Xbox I think.
Its just that Ive gotten sick of the problems/errors of the games not installing on my computer...

So.. any help? Thanks..

PS2 has the biggest games line-up, and also the best, so PS2 is a good choice.
PS2 will be supported until 2010, MS already dished the xbox.
Prices for PS2 games are similar to xbox games.
Why you ask on this forum?

True...
PS2 was on market few years before xbox so you can expect more games, additions, etc.

And the thread title says "PS3", is that a mistake or...?

I both both a PS2 and Xbox when they were launched. I sold my PS2 in 2002 and still have the Xbox. The Xbox is my joint favourite console along with the Dreamcast and Super Nintendo.

PS2 has best game selection, great controller, and is just the best. ;)

I would probably say PS2, as i do like the games better than for the Xbox, although the Xbox 360 game line up has vastly improved from the Xbox.

Also the Gamecube is an option for playing resident evil. You can get RE 1, the remake, and it has nice new amazing graphics, better acting, and extra puzzles. You can also get the other 2 (ie RE2 and 3)with slightly touched up graphics.

You can also get Resident Evil 0 which is a game set before RE1. Totally amazing game and for Gamecube only. The guy in my avatar is from RE0. Plus Resident Evil 4 will run on much better graphics for the Gamecube, than it will for PS2.

Good luck :tmb:
