Just played half-life2

I downloaded the Half-life 2 demo on my 1.6Ghz P4, 512MB, 64MB GF2 PC and it ran surprisingly well with low settings while still looking pretty good. This game is amazing! I think I just might buy it. I hear there is a free mod version of Softimage specifically for half life 2. If so is it only for creating game models/characters or levels? Isn't there a Half life level editor?

i have this on my Xbox and it is amazing, there is a pc expansion called Episode 1 or Chapter 1, something like that which is set before/after the main events, i'm unsure. I also hear that Half Life 2 is coming out on PS3
