well at the end it says Core at the bottom, DEFINALLTY doesnt look like a fake because you can reconise the levls.

Something very interesting:
One bit shows her shooting at a creature with the legend style spinning target ( :hea: ) whilst when she's shooting at the dino's there's no targets visible..
Some of the moves look more like CD's work to me than Core's .
Even if it is from Core- it was probably cancelled when Core was sold?
The movement looks a bit blocky but the graphics...there excellent for a PSP!

I said some moves look like CD's - as in the way she moves whilst holding onto a wall + stuff like the targets, but her jump, her pole swing and her block pushing look like Core's Lara. :confused:

I sense a glimmer of hope that this wasn't cancelled after all. The trailer looked incredible and VERY impressive for PSP grpahics, I like the fact that new features have been added in such as the pole swinging, does that mean there's a crawl too? hmm...

It doesn't look a fake, there's a lot of work in there... oh god.. so supposedly this was being done by Core, but as I remember Eidos took of the game from Core in a very small time just after the release of AOD, in that time the PSP project was allready known? AOD was being made under such pression and they were already making the aniversary edition....:confused: All those facts made this looks a fake... Oh well i'm gonna see it again....:D
Yeah, the pole swinging looks rather good and fits in, I think maybe you see Larson in the FMV thing where shes hiding behind a collum and when she looks round you see a dark figure.

Looks better than TRL, looks less linear with better moves and combat! Did you see the pole swing into the ledge...very cool. I hope something like this comes out for PC because I will never have a PSP. Love the targeting system to! and the pistols sounded like guns and not a pea shooter!

LARA CROFT IS VERY PRECIOUS TO ME b/c she helped me through that stage in my life when I first came to America and couldn't speak English...I was so estranged, but Lara totally helped me through it. Sorry to get all mushy on you guys, but I REALLY WANT THIS.

The appearence of target circles being different is not inconsistant with it being real. If it was a work in progress, some footage might have been older and changes had since been made

It's the old engine and control scheme but with new things like grenades on Lara's belt etc, and auto aim is back but she can aim at two things at once and she holds her guns up idle like in the classics.

Yep that's the weird part, i work in 3d modeling, and it to do taht just for the fake, god, it would need to be a bunch of guys with nothing else to do...

I think she looks a lot like TRL lara, she has a big butt and is really curvy. I couldnt really make out the face, but it looked similar also. This makes me want to play TR1, I've never played it yet :D

Iknow it says Core and the end, but that gameplay and many of the movements scream "Legend Engine".......
Ive seen a lot of fake media on this site, but that looks genuine.......and if that is fake ill admit i was fooled........
You can tell the game was still in development as some of the animations, like her jump, still look strange.......
Maybe the project was cancelled because theyre brining it to the major systems while we wait for TR8 on PS3.......IMO it wouldnt make sense to release something like that ONLY on PSP.....I might be a die-hard TR fan, but im not spending $200 for a handheld system to play ONE game.......

The logo (Lara Croft Tomb Raider) is the same from the AOD, the Legend one is diferent it has been "polished" (just as they do when they get the logo from the movie to use in the game)

However, if anyone wants to convert FLV movies to AVI or WMV, you could try Total Video Converter (http://www.effectmatrix.com/total-video-converter/) which will do the job nicely ;) You'll find the FLV movie in your Internet Explorer cache folder after viewing the trailer on Google Video.

In that bit it does look that way. I just Really hope there's an option to turn off the big spinning targets, they do ruin the experience somewhat :( It looks possible because of their lack when fighting Dino's though :D Unless that was a clip :confused:

Looks great, but Lara's model and her animations look terrible!!! Absolutely terrible!!! And looks fake to me... actually it reminds me of a screensaver a had on my old PC... Lara's model is 90% identical, and her run and walk animations are also the same... I think this is fake...
And If it's not... well lets hope they change Lara's animations because she
moves realy bad in this trailer...
Peru was one of my favorite levels in TR1. :)

The more I watch it, the more I love the environments, and the more I HATE Lara's model and animations... She looks horrific:( and this is definitely not Legend Lara, she may have grenades, but this is NOT Legend Lara...
I really don't know, but I got the feeling Core Design had the idea of the Legend Lara (model, grenades, new moves, etc)... but because of AOD, Eidos took Core's idea and gave it to Crystal D...

This is exactly what I think. Remember, Eidos has the rights for the TR games, so it could happen like this: Core was already developing their TR7, but Eidos fired them and kept all the work, gave it to CD and we finally got CD's version of TR7, which obviously contain a lot of Core's old work and ideas.
EDiT: that's why Trailer Lara looks like Legend Lara at some points, CD could rework the old animations and stuff...

Anyway, I still can't get over the footage - some of it looks very much like the old animations (pole swinging from TR5 and the jumping like how she usually did it) and a lot of new Legend like animations (one hand grab and the shimmying). I wonder if Core were developing it while CrystalD were making Legend?

Not necessarily. Look at the game industry nowadays: 1 month of hype, game comes out, and the marketing machinery moves on to the next title coming out, end of story. So they can bring it out even in November, that's still 10th Anniversary! :D
Maybe it was in developement when AoD was being made, but was 'cancelled' when it was handed to CD ?
I'd think the same,once the Lara from the video isn't the same from TRL,the mouvements aren't so smooth,etc.

Core ceased to exist long before the PSP even was released. This is definately Crystal Dynamics' handiwork. Hopefully it's not cancelled or, if it is, it's just the PSP version that's cancelled. To me that looks better than PSP however--it's hard to tell. PS2/Xbox should be the platforms for this game!
Core only just got sold off last month, I think. Core had worked on both Free Running and Smart Bomb for the PSP.
I think the Crates of Natla Industries shown in Legend is the 10th Anniversary Trailer we just saw.

But there was a thread about the re-make not long ago and the article in it said the re-make was for PS2, Xbox and PC.
Maybe Crystal are re-making it on all those platforms plus the PsP? :confused:
By the way Legend on PsP sucks, my friend bought it and its nowhere near as good as the PS2 version. It has good graphics but thats about it :(

It's fake as in somebody has obviously taken a considerable amount of effort creating it.
I don't want to go into the reasons as to why I believe such a thing because they'll just be counteracted, and I don't really want to create a huge wave of negaitivity within the thread what with the majority of people getting excited about it. So, um, yea.
If it's genuine then I was wrong. Won't mind coming back in here and holding my hands up.

Animations look like AOD's animations. This must be AOD engine. This must be Maya. OK, model is same. But engine is different I think. Maybe Eidos couldn't has wanted two different Lara at the same time. Yes, it should be so. If Core Design has been really developing that...:)
Sweet_pea, there's been rumours of a 10th Anniversary edition since September (or sometime around then) when SCi mentioned the 10th Anniversary edition for the PSP on their interim reports :)
As for the Star Wars music, I can't really say it's out of place. For an AOD trailer, Core used Pirates of the Carribean music. Lots of other companies also use outside sources for their music as well :)

Well, the story of how I found this...
I was on Youtube looking at the funny Tomb Raider 1 Adventure video, Tehehehe It made me laugh! Then also I looked at one of the 1st ever trailers of AOD and I was like , Ooooo, I wanna see more trailers!
So i go on Google video, blah blah, looking at the ones without anything to do with TR7 because I've seen them boooring! And I clicked on it...
I sat there watching breathless :O:O:O:O
And tada!

But the music on AoD trailer was from a different film (either the film was called or just the track:) Drop Zone. It's Really similar to the P.o.t.C music because Hans Zimmer (Drop Zone) works really closely with Klaus Badelt (P.o.t.C) :tmb:

You can download from google video, you get an avi file playable in VLC Player... maybe that helps :)

If this isn't a fake it was being developed by Core, and it was canceled when they were "stolen". I don't really know how the game industry works, but if this was being made by the AOD time or at least till eidos give TR rights to CD, and as this remake would be released by this november I don't see why they would have made a trailer that earlier, just not to mention that by that time PSP should also be in developement (i think)
So for me, someone from Core, got a some footage, edited them, and uploaded to google, as you can see they even use the AOD logo (if this was from CD they would use at least the Legend one)... as for the PSP thing, the PSP graphics aren't equivalent to PS2? So they could been doing it for PS2/Xbox, but because they have been rumours about a PSP Tomb Raider remake, they just stick the PSP logo there to generate confusion...:confused:
