View Full Version : TR1 help - invisible lara

so, i've installed TR1 ( with TRAI and VDMsound )
i open the shortcut tomb raider ( glide ) on my destkop, the main menu opens
problem 1 : i can(t see my savegames because that book is in fornt of the savegame window
problem 2 : when i start a savegame, lara is invisible :mad:

any help ?

What Glide wrapper do you use? Post settings... :)

You should set your preferences for DOS not for Windows, as TR is a DOS application:
at Global tab:
Set D3D HAL as Display Driver
VDD mode; active in background

at Glide tab:
check all checkboxes in Miscellaneous

& enable VESA support at VESA tab.

Then in game you can press F2 to hide FPS in left upper corner of the screen if it is annoying you :)

At the Glide tab, put Emulate W-Buffering (instead of Enable). ;)

And of course, only make changes in the DOS Platform...

Joseph, I can't find "Emulate W-buff." at my DgVoodoo 1.40 at Glide tab, only "Force W-buff." :confused:

Oh and don't enable VESA support. You don't need it, you choose for Glide. :)

no it didn't work, i start it and then just gives a black screen, then returns to windows :confused:
i totally don't understand it because earlier this day it worked :(

Joseph, I can't find "Emulate W-buff." at my DgVoodoo 1.40 at Glide tab, only "Force W-buff." :confused:Right, i just saw that too. In version 1.40, the emulation is automatic. "Force W-Buffering" is true W-Buffering (old ATI cards and pre-Geforce 6xxx series).

What card do you have, Badboy?
