I would buy this card (http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=386&card2=) for TRL. A Sapphire 256MB Radeon X1800 GTO

SM3 with 32 GB/sec memory bandwidth, so you should get about 30fps in next gen. You obviously must have a high spec PC aswell (CPU 3000+ MHz, 1GB RAM etc.)

The best thing, the price (http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=GCS-XR18GTO256&af=50)!

So all of you on a budget wondering what card to buy to see Lara in full next gen glory ...try to get this one. ;)

That is a fine budget midrange card. Do not expect to see Lara in full next gen glory and have decent framerates as well. <--for that, you need a high end 512MB card.

Well isn't 30 fps a decent frame rate?

Yes it is. I forgot you didn't mention the resolution, sorry.:o
I was thinking my own resolution which is 1600x1200 and i have average 32 fp/sec in fraps. You won't reach that with that card.
But at 800x600 you will, maybe even at 1024x768. :)

I think maybe at 1280x1024 too which is the maximum resolution for my LCD.

Actually i was checking on another online shop what that card costs here.
I found this one (http://www.komplett.nl/k/ki.asp?sku=319064&view=detailed), Sapphire Radeon X1800GTO 256MB GDDR3 255,01

But your card, 117 pounds, that is 171, and that is cheap!

I'm pretty shocked myself about this price. In fact, I think that place will be sold out pretty quick.

True, it is speculation. But my current card, X800RX has only 28.8 GB/sec memory bandwidth and it runs next gen at 1280x1024 at 30fps (although it does slow down to about 25 fps sometimes, but only 10% of the time). This card has 32 GB/sec so I would be willing to bet that it will be able to manage 30fps at 1280x1024. :)

actually my 7600GT works almost fine in 1280x1024 res in most areas not much slow downs, should i used 3dmark 06 josef or just a waste of time!

if 1800 is better then 7600GT i think you should get it,i dont know much specs of 1800!

X1800XL is same quality as 7800GT, X1800XT is superior.

GF 7600GT is a strong midrange for smaller resolution.

I believe he's talking about a x1800GTO not xl, which is actually quite different. The GTOs are made to compete with 7600GTs, so the two cards are comparable.
