The Stanley Cup will be in the RBC Center tonight as the Carolina Hurricanes can clinch the cherished trophy with a win in Game 5 of the Final. Hurricane veterans insist they won't look ahead, while the Oilers will rely on veteran leadership.

I probably am. I want Carolina to win (even though i am Canadian), just because Carolina eliminated my favorite team Montreal, and i'll feel less guilty about them losing because i can say the team that Montreal lost to the Stanley Cup winners. :p

I'm rooting for Oilers, because of the franchise history, but I think I'm going to be disappointed.

After they lost Roloson for the rest of the playoffs, i think it was a clear sign this isn't the Oilers year. Pretty sad though too, they played really well during the playoffs. There were a couple times i thought they were going to get eliminated they came back strong.

If they do end up winning, i'll be very surprised.

I totally agree with you. Carolina should win this easily. Shame tho, maybe it's Edmonton's time next year. I've always supported Bruins, but when the Oilers made the finals, I really wanted them to win it.

Yeah, there always next year. ;)

Ohh, Bruins fan, eh? This wasn't Boston's year at all. I think they could have played better.

I was actually really ticked off Montreal lost the first round. I was really happy watching them win the first 2 games, but after that, they kind of just lost control. Oh well.

You know what started me off with the Bruins? George Plimpton's Open Net (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1592281206/102-7552201-0938551?v=glance&n=283155). If you ever get a chance, grab a copy and read about real old time hockey. Come to think of it, also get From Behind The Red Line (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1895629624/102-7552201-0938551?v=glance&n=283155) by Tod Hartje. Whatever happened to that guy?

Anyhoo. Plimpton is what got me into the Bruins.

Carolina is one of those teams i absolutely hate (others teams i hate Rangers, Flyers, Maple Leafs, Might Ducks). the Oilers lost this series as soon as their goalie got hurt.

Maybe, who knows. I kinda lost my interest in this season when the Sharks bit the dust. Pity, things were looking really good this time around. :(
