In what ways can we comfort each other in knowing it won't be in the game?

The only thing I can possibly thing of, without changing the course of the game, is when Lara is using the elevator cord to pull her up to the top of the building.

Help comfort each other in knowing it won't be used =) thanks.

You KNOW they'll use it, let's just hope they don't over use it and make too many things too easy. ;)

If they do do the remake and turn it into a cheap Legend type grapple-me-through-thingy they've got another thing coming.

well we hoped enough for the remake we got it.

i just want them to stay true to TR1. NO mercenaries. NO zip. NO allister.

There is no use for it in this game, unless they make Lara's jumps shorter like they did in Legend.

it would be cool to have an option to play the old game with nothing more than graphic updates, but another with gameplay updates to the same area, with additional puzzles with the new physics engine , and the grapple.

The only possible purpose it could serve is as a lasso to grab the wolves and things by the neck.

It's such a dumb device in principle. I didn't mind it in Legend because well...they have dressing up clothes for Lara in that too...but this is real TR fgs.

Lara could use it to lassoo the raptors and tame the wolves, they could be her pets!
She could rope it round the blocks and pull them too!

Edit: done. I always thought CD stood for Core Design, not Crystal Dynamics, cause I got the TR Chronicles case right in front of me, and it says BINK Video, Eidos, and Core Deisgn. Lol.

That's a great idea. They did something like this with MegaMan Powered Up: they included a remake of the original game with just updated graphics, and also the remake with updated graphics, changes in the levels, new levels, new abilities, new characters... But it was easier to make because it was 2D, of course.

Let's just hope that Crystal Dynamics remains faithful to the original level design...

I really doubt it will be appart of the equipment, for one TR 1 had no ropes or swinging and I don't think it appeared till the fourth game. Two there are no human enemies to use it on other than larson and Pierre! Three, you would have to totally revamp the puzzles. It could though be incorerated to new areas that they create, but there isn't enough areas in the original where it is needed!

Exactly, If any of you have played Mega Man Powered Up for the PSP they would no about it! I think its a great Idea, and should be an extra! a just a Graphically new game shouldn't be much harder to add with CD's redux of the original!
