View Full Version : Do you want Outfit Changes for TR1 Remake?

i'm not refering to the unlockable outfits in legend, i'm simply refering to outfit changes as the story progresses.
for example: do you want lara in her classic outfit throughout the entire game, or some warm winter clothes for instance in the opening snowy peru levels?
Yes of course. I would like Lara to wear winter wear in peru as an example.
Also a closet feature. :D:D:D:D

One part of me wants the classic Lara look for the entire game, but having clothing that fits the environment is also nice....I am torn!! I would accept either, lol :wve:

I love the idea with the clothers, but AE isn't AE at all if you can change clothers. So i would'n mide if there were a tool like that, but for a classical Tomb Raider you must not have any other clothers.

i think it should be the classic outfit all the way through... except perhaps the first two snowy levels in peru. then once she reaches the tropical lost valley she can strip down to her classic shorts and tank top :D :tmb:
I think that Lara would freeze to death in Peru with the classic outfit.
I hope there isn't a frilly pink fun little number =)
No she's not a barbie doll, I think anyone who was seriouslly saving the world form destruction would only consider an outfit change if they were getting sweaty from all the hard work or a change in climate or enviroment!
Just don't make them rewards like Legend.
OK if Lara has a floor-length woollen poncho early on like the Peru custcene shows, I think that's sufficient and practical for a cold climate. She can put it away in her infinite sized backpack, lol.
But please don't make her into a dolly again.
Nope, I don't. I think for some reason it'd lessen the reality of it being a TR1 remake- she had the classic, and the classic alone - keep it that way IMo.

I'd prefer the classic outfit for the whole game :)

PERFECT !!!!
....or simply the classic outfit the whole way through...
Afterall....the intro video of TR1 explains why shes in her skimpy outfit so soon...she was initially wearing a hooded cloak...only to lose it after the ambush with the wolves.... :D:D:D:D
Giveing her a barbie feature is SO unnecessary its unfunny....
Maybe some variations on the classic outfit, to suit the weather, but none of that daft Barbie dressing-up. ;)

Nope, would rather it was classic outfit the whole time.
I dont really care either way but since she only had the classic outfit in tr1 it would be most likely to just have that outfit. Maybe Natla as unlockable? :p
I would like to play it with the classic outfit and with BRAID! not like the one in legend.. it was too short and high braid...
but after the game I would love to have unblocable costumes.. like the cape from the opening fmv from tr1
Rewards should be more, well, REWARDING! Like extra LEVELS... :tmb:
Leave her in classic original outfit for the game. If anything, maybe the bomber jacket in colder climates like later TR's but that's it! (unless we can have her run around the whole game in her blue bathrobe!) :ton:
What we don't want is waiting time... oh, she has to change into her swimming outfit, please wait... oh, she needs to change into her mortorcycle outfit, please wait... :cen:

There wasn't! :p But I don't want that to turn into an added feature, lara changing multiple times during a level. :cen:

I prefer her to wear that Hood cape thingy she wore at the begining film clip, except with longer pants, and when Lara gets out of the snowy places, she just unzips the pants off and takes off the poncho. But, she should be able to have different outfits, but maybe only for the mansion. Its not fair on Lara for wearing the same outfit for 5 games now.

if we must endure cheezy unlockable extra outfits, lets keep it in the spirit of retro tomb raider games. i dont want to see any movie outfits or new outfits. let the theme of this game be retro lara. no new lara. lets bask in all that was good about classic tomb raider.

Why dont people understand, if you dont want outfit changing, who cares? Its realism. Why do people have to miss out on outfit changing? All we've got are skinning, and thats not all that good, cause its not exactly a new outfit.
For the first play through, I prefer they kept the original outfit only, but by collecting secrets you can unlock different costumes like in Legend. It makes both sides happy - you have some variety, but at the same time you retain the classic feel of the original.

And in some costumes...her eyes aren't properly movin' . LOLz:D it looks cross-eyed sometimes and some don't move in scenes (which looks rater awkward...). But for those who said that in the beginning of the level of Tomb Raider (Caves), she should where a hooded thing...wouldn't that kinda not feel right:confused: I can picture her in the intro, as she gets caved in with the hooded clothing...doesn't seem right:confused:
No more barbie doll, make rewards more important than an outfit change, like unlocking a new level or something. BTW, lara had a different outfit for the mansion in the original TR1, they could just update that one with better detail.
