Tomb Raider 8 was delayed by three of four years or even longer, but it was going to be massive, like the size of an elder scrolls game?
If it was also going to be as Good as Oblivion, but incorporate the Tomb Raider feel, then I wouldn't mind one bit :tmb:

Neither would i, i wouldnt mind waiting ages for a game like this. Each new game should be a project. What we need is quality rather than quantity.

I want good games...but TR going RPG is bit of wierd...it did start out as an action/advanture game...

I dont mean going RPG, i just mean the game being massive and interactive.
hmmm 3-4 years is a long time......cant say id be "thrilled" to hear that.....
If it would equate to a quality game, I would say it's worth the wait ;)
I'd rather wait years for a good game than get a so-so game quickly...

We waited 3 years for Legend which only had 8 levels.. It's kind of sad.
We waited 3 years for AOD too, which had "29".. Core Design knew their stuff.

I can wait as long as it takes, provided the next TR will have the atmosphere we all know and love and it will remind us of the old games of thre series.

Its not the length that matter...AOD is long, but Core didn't make those long hours comfortable to everyone...you could make a games that takes a year to finish, but if it just drag, would you want to?

The next Tomb Raider should be huge, it's going to be PS3 and Xbox 360 only so there's no excuses! ;)
I'd love it if TR was as huge as Elder Scrolls Oblivion on the Xbox 360!
The game is just MASSIVE!
Tomb Raider next-gen should hopefully be a new type of TR game - the type where the player can go anywhere, solve puzzles by themselves and continue the story at any time!
That's why I think the island idea is so cool because it would be like one huge hub for the game but there would be different areas just like Oblivion! :p
Just imagine it - 80 hours into the game, and still excited and barely scratched the surface of the game :D EEP! :D

Yeah a really good long adventure, last Revelation almost did that but it was missing some things! I think it is a must for TR's now, I mean I don't know why I can't wait for TR's I wait for Final FAntasy, Gran Turismo! We were spoiled and riped off sort off at the end of PS Tomb Raiders. I wouldn't mind waiting Three years for a completely perfect tomb raider!:)

That kind of thing is possible. I know people who have played oblivion for 100 hours and not started the quest yet lol

A rushed tomb raider game is a sad thing. I would wait 10 years if the game was worth it! I hope they dont start throwing out new TR games each year, because these next gen games should take longer.
i can't live without TR that long , so there is one thing left : suicide ! ( just kidding :p)

I don't care too much about the time, do it right and make it good. Same way I feel about my car. I see all these shows rushing a car together. When I have work done on mine I want them to get it right, not set any records getting it done and wrong. Buffing one day old paint, that's not right! Same with lara, don't rush her, make it right! :tmb: (although buffing lara has it's merits) ;)

Did you see how ugly the women in that game were?(the guys were pretty bad too) Fanboys will scream "realism" at you all day long but I'm sorry I dont want to play realistic ugly people (though all the real people I know are much better looking than the characters in Oblivion) So I vote Bethesda keep their hands off my Lara, maybe they could just be a reference on gameplay immersion for Eidos.
P.S. I didnt mean that as an attack on you in any way for the quote.

Hate to say it, but isn't that what TRL is? XD IE: refering to the length of game. We need a good balance of both quaility and quantity.
I dunno if I could wait that long. 3 years I'm fine with. Any more then that, and I'll forget about it, go on with my life and perhaps see something about it on TV but I'll be to busy to go out and get it.
