This game is breaking my brain!!!!!!

I desperately need some help!!!! I've read lots of walkthroughs, but they're all gibberish to me. It's like I'm playing a completely different game.

Anyway, I'm stuck on Temple of Zian. I'm in a room with a small waterfall and a lever on the right hand side. This lever, when pulled, blocks this currant thing so you can swim through a tunnel. There's another lever on the left that unfloods the room, but I don't use that yet. I turn right and pull a lever that opens a door. I swim through there and find a lever. I pull it and return to the original room and go to the door that leads to the spider cave, but the door doesn't open!!!! Huh?

Theres a trapdoor that opens at the top of the room, when you pull the lever. You have to go through there before you can go to the spider room :)

Theres a gate in the main area of the pool and when you open that, there will be a lever in there. When you pull the lever, the trapdoor will open at the top. :)

It's a second lever on your right side when you first pulled the first lever and then swim back.

No, it's not timed, just pull the levers in order.

Yep: when entering the tunnel (swimming), you need to take the passage on your right (there's a lever on your left, but ignore this one!)
Here, you pull the lever on the left, wich opens a door on your opposite, go there and pull the lever here, this opens a gate in the big pool.
Go back to the big pool, take a deep breath, and enter the opened gate, were you need to pull the lever on the right to open the gate above the big pool.

Where you can climb out of the water, you will see it.
The part where you pulled the very first lever to raise the water in the big pool.

Oh, thanks. I've found it now.

I turned the game off as soon as I got to the spider cave. I'm scared to play alone. :(

if you can, turn up the brightness while you're in the cave. they are less frightening when you can see where they're coming from.
Also, it only takes five shots or so (from the shotgun) to kill one. Just hop around madly and shoot everything that moves! :)
