View Full Version : It's Amazing!
Hey Everyone,
I just got back from watching Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and I must say I wasn't dissapointed at all. It was great, a very fun energetic adventure movie. I don't wanna spoil anything for you guys but I'll say it's better than the first, it's different from the first. I personally didn't dislike the 1st film. Yes I was a bit disapointed w/ it but didn't hate it. This one I loved, can't wait to see it again! I hope it does very well like it deserves!!!! So we can keep the sequels coming I love the Lara character and hopefully Angelina always stays w/ it... I can't see anyone but her being Lara.
That's good to hear! Although I know I will love it anyway....despite some of the critics!
I like all AJ's movies..but I'm very excited to see this one. I too liked the first and am anticipating this one even more.
I won't get to see it until August 1 :(
Oh well...I can't wait until the DVD comes out...gonna get it for sure! :D
So, how did the audience react to the film Oz?.......did they enjoy?....and was it packed out?

Well does she " Liek" a guy in the movie? Iheard it was more " Sexual" but I dunno what they meant by that. You know, the movies are A LOT different than the games. In the movies Lara likes one guy, but in the games she likes Kurtis Trent. Why didn't Paramound make their own action movie, instead they made their own action movie with our Lara in it. I sure hope they don't ruin veery hting. Oh and I never watched COL that's why I asked if she has any " moments" with a guy, like kissing or whatever. I sure hope not, because the REAL Lara likes Kurtis.

I saw it too!!! it was spectacular!!! Up there with Pirates of the Caribbean. It will definetly debut at #1. And it was pretty crowded for the theater that i go to (its always empty during the day). Its action-packed, but has a plot, and sticks to it, and kept me on the edge of my seat. And the audience seemed to like it very much as well. As we were leaving, everyone was saying It was awesome and i really liked it and i didn't hear anyone say anything bad. If you live in the U.S, u gotta see it!!! :D
i thought it was amazing as well :D the music was awesome and so was the story. it was definately better than the first.
i think im going to have to see it again ;)
Hi! I am new here, but I have been reading everybody's post for awhile. Because I am from Asia and my English isn't perfect I was hesitated to post my own opinion. However, I have found people are kind and supportive in this forum. Therefore, today I decided to post my thoughts on the new TR2 COL here for the first time. http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif
This morning I hurried to the movie theater to catch the first showing of TR2 COL. Now few hours after I saw the TR2, I am still thinking about it, and I am going to see it again tomorrow. I knew my $20 won't make a difference in the box office, but I still want to make my effort.
I love TR2!! Even I miss Lara's short hot pants, but I still think this one is way more better than the first one. Angelina is born to play Lara. Without speaking a word, when you look into Angelina's eyes, you will see the wildness. You will see Lara.
However, as a Lara fan I wish TR2 could be a better Movie. Yes, comparing with TR1, Lara is a more completed woman in TR2, She got action, She got attitude, she got charm, but sadly I still didn't see her mind. I didn't see Lara offered her own point of view on ....... anything in the TR2!
She was too busy fighting. Every time she opened her mouth. She tried to explain the plot. There were brief of moments the evil guy and Lara's ex boyfriend expressed the way how they thought about this world. How about Lara? How did she think of this world?
Not until the last 10 minutes Lara finally expressed her feeling as a woman, as a real person and I finlly could see how she tried to save her love in her own way from the begining......
I wish there is a third TR film. I just love Lara and Angelina. They both are wild! Let's hope TR2 has a big opening weekend! So they will make the third TR film. Don't use you free ticket! every $10 count! http://www.tombraiderforums.com/images/smilies/wave.gif
Sorry about my English if there is anything didn't make sense.

For all the people wishing for a third TR movie, when Angilina signed on to the TR movie, she signed on for three movies. So, there will for sure be three movies, and if they do well in the box office then they might make more!

I watched Cradle of Life today and believe I loved every single minute of it. The special effects, the sets, the storyline, the stunts and the characters were excellent. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD.
I loved the ending, I think it would be good if Hillary and Bryce have more screentime in the next movie, I enjoy watching Chris Barrie on screen, I watched hime when he was in the Brittas Empire in Britain and in Red Dwarf, I still watched him playing Rimmer who is a hologram in Red Dwarf in the united states.

I went to see it tonight and loved every minute of it. I plan on seeing it again. I really liked the first TR but I will say that the second is better. I will admit she did look great in the shorts in TR but she looks awesome in a bikini. The scenery was amazing as were all of the stunts. I say it is a must see!!!

I saw it as well on opening night at the drive in. I would have enjoyed it much better if I didn't have 4 kids, a new born, 4 year old and two over 10. The two 10 years were in the back and complained about not being able to see and the 4 year wouldn't sit still, the baby fussed at the beginning and the end but slept in the middle. The sound kept cutting out because our steering colum is broken and everytime you touch it, it cuts out, which my husband did 4 times and it took quite a few moments to get it back on again.
But with everything said, it was great and I have to most diffently see it again, and with out any kids.
I wasn't so sure about Lara having a love scene, it seemed sorta out of place, took away from her sex appeal (or should I say tension) and her mysterious ways, something I will have to get use to.
